Thanks for the replays yall are awesome

Yes, "we" are, :p (Don't forget YOU are a part of the collective now!)

I vape so much I only get about 8 hours out of a battery. So I have to buy new ones every couple of months. My current batteries are only holding a charge for 2-3 hours.

Damn, what batteries are you using? That stinks!

I purchased a set of four Efest red IMR 18500s in April of 2013. One of the four gave up the ghost a couple of months ago at about 270 charge cycles. The other three are going great at well over 300 charge cycles. I don't baby these batteries. They get discharged right down to 3.2V before recharging.

The number of charge cycles is determined more by usage and battery chemistry than battery size. I suspect Efest red 18650 would deliver about the same number of charge cycles as their red IMR 18500.

I have been using a Nitecore Intellicharger i4 for the past two years with great success.

Before that I used a Trustfire TR-001. I can't recommend that charger at all. The Trustfire continued to trickle charge the batteries even after the charging light turned from red to green (meaning the batteries were charged). If batteries were left in the charger for several hours on the green light they would be charged to over 4.2V (overcharge) which can reduce the life of the battery.

The Nitecore chargers will not charge past 4.2V.

hum.... I didn't think of that. I'm using a trustfire charger. I heard they are not so good. Which charger would you recommend?

I am using an Efest LUC, and my batteries are anywhere from 6 to 14 months in service and still going strong(ish). The first Efests I bought are starting to noticeably fade.

Overcharging is much, much worse than undercharging, and can kill a battery in short order.
