hello buddy.

im a noob also, they say juice does not spoil. people on here told me that youll only know when your juice is bad when the taste turned funny. from different points of view, you can save money ordering in bulk and my point of view is that youll save even more money in the diy(do it yourself) category. but the vets here say that a noob should stick to pre mixed for awhile since nicotine juices are toxic, i just order 24mg unflavored base since it is managable.

like i said im just a noob too, but there will be someone to answer this question a lot better and correct me at the same time if im wrong. im just trying to help with what ever knowledge i recieved so far.(if thats correct)

I would by Nic in bulk but not premixed e-juice,,,, personally I dont like using it past about 6 months old,it changes, its not the Nic that makes it turn but the flavorings and additives, Some juice has an expiration of 2yrs, that's greatly over doing it in my opinion and personally I would say more like 1yr would be the very max, I'm sure other will disagree with me they always do, but I've been at it long enough to know and have stored it for a long enough time to check this,,, Fresh is best with pre-mades, steeping is fine but you will see after you've been at it for a while the difference between a fresher pre-made to a pre-made that is over say 6-7 months, it starts tasting different, and bad juice gets this sour milk type taste to it,,, Nic on the other hand will last a long time, keep mine in glass in freezer in a good sealed bottle and have some over two yrs old and still good. Dont load up on pre-made juice, Vendors love people who do, and remember fresh can be on your doorstep in 2-3 days always:2cool:

I do have some juices that are older than six months because I really didn't like them when I first tried them. A couple are really good now and I'm sure they're older than six months. We'll see.

Like I said, 1yr is more to the expiration, and like I also said they start to taste a bit different after 6-7 months, I just prefer fresh over very old, like my food and the flavoring additive's in it fresh too, Do you use Ketchup that is 2yrs old ? I dont :)

Hear are my thoughts on buying bulk(+250ml) e-liquid if you are new to vapeing:
1. What you find yummy now may not be so yummy in 30 days.
2. Your mg per ml may change before you go through your bulk order leading to either cutting it with VG/PG and dulling the flavor or having to buy more in zero mg to drop the nic mg per ml.
3. Many vapers go to DIY...there is where the real savings is plus you never run out or have to wait.
4. Your gear may change and what vaped good on the old equipment may not be so good on the new gear.
5. You may develope an allergy to VG/PG(I did to PG after 2 months of vapeing)

I've been vapeing for +1 year and the only, what I considered at the time to be bulk in the beginning was(afraid of running out) 2-30ml bottles of a favorite and I still have 20ml left. I have been DIYing since month 2 and I seem to like mine best. I like variety so I have about 20-6ml bottles of different flavors so I never get bored. I only vape about 1-2ml a day so that keeps me going for a bit. You could do the same thing with 10ml bottles if you vape higher amounts.
I kinda look at it this way....I love lasagna but I don't want it every night for the next 3 months! If you really want to have bulk at least wait until you are dialed in to make sure.I wouldn't buy any more than I could use in 6 months. JMHO

Over the edge...
It's like a science project for me. The vendors I asked about shelf life told me about 2 years. The juices I really didn't like were PIFed after a couple of weeks of aging. I kept several marginal ones that had good reviews to see if aging really did help. Mostly it didn't but amazingly in some cases it did. The question is why? The experiment continues...

And I hate ketchup.

i guess steeping or aging if you might call . is like a teriyaki marinate or your prefered marinate, the longer it sits in the sauce, the sauce and meat will soak in the flavors. in this case, your flavor is the marinate and your pg/vg would act as your meat, let it marinate.. lol

side note: some marinates take longer to fuze together

Hi hany3h,

My e-juice vendor/manufacturer recommends up to two years storage on their premixed. They state if you're going to keep the juice around for any length of time, to put it in amber glass bottles and refrigerate it. I just bought a bunch of 1, 2, & 4oz cobalt blue bottles, which should have the same affect of blocking the light out, the same as amber. So, just from one member's e-juice supplier, yeah it's good to refrigerate.

OMG, nooooo, not the PG allergy!!! I got bit by a bad rash in the beginning (after three 3 months, too!), using Green Smoke which is PG. I'm on a new run on AES exclusively, mostly PG, after lots of digestive issues on pure VG. Say it isn't so! I'm praying for no PG reaction in the coming months!

Peace

I had a hard time with PG at first, so vaped mainly 100% VG for a good couple months. Went back and tried a few different mixes (ranging from 80/20 pg/vg to 50/50) and found that I now have an easier time with it, even 100% PG. Now I use primarily 50/50 when I have a choice with premixed.

Normally keep all my juices in a small box, sitting inside my linen closet. Nice, dark, and relatively cool. I also order it in glass bottles, when I have a choice.

It's all about personal preference, some juices age better than others, but most vendors I've seen list the exp. date between 1-2 years.

Thanks for adding to this thread, Duranu. Your experience gives me hope! It's been a long 8-month road fraught with lots of side effects and lots of $$ spent. I do really have great expectations from the one e-juice I settled on and use exclusively now. Its because of encouraging comments such as yours, that keep me going and know that, one way or another, I can make it work with 'what works for me'. It's only been two weeks completely off the analogs for the third try in 8 months, so these are a little scary times again for me. Thanks!

Peace

Wholeheartedly agree with this. I wouldn't recommend buying in bulk until you've been vaping for quite awhile.
