I just got my MF supply last week and have fallen in love. I smoked a pack a day and now am down to about 5 analogs!!

I've been vaping the Reds and RY4, however I noticed the carts do not last that long (less then a day with moderate usage). Also I've noticed an inconsistency in flavor between vapes.

I'm still very much a noob so I'm just trying to get an idea if this is normal.

Thanks!

I too noticed an inconsistency in flavor when I first started vaping. After 2 weeks in this has normalized as my sense of taste is starting to return. As for how long a cartomizer lasts, too many variables there. What one calls moderate some would call light or heavy. It all depends on the length of draw and frequency of the draw. I'm sure there are many more experienced members here who can give better info on this subject.

Excellent answer, Dragline.

Hi Sniggity, welcome to our motley crew. ;) Like Drag said, your tastes will be changing as your taste buds recover. And I should also mention that the things you eat and drink will also affect how the vapor tastes. Salty foods, for just one example, always makes the bitter taste of the nicotine stand out.

My :2c: . Try vaping WHILE you eat. It is awesome, copacetic, and rad, almost never nasty. Really!

I wish I could get a cart to last half a day lol. I go through 2 - 3 18mg cartz a day, so I think you're doin' pretty good :3 Granted, I'm not using Bloog cartz yet, but hope to remedy that sometime.

I seem to be averaging 1.5 carts a day, which seems to be okay

That's right about where I am, 1.5 per day. Which isn't bad at all when you consider they're about $2.20 each. I was spending $10+ per day on cigarettes. Plus, I refill them, and have yet to have a carto die (although it's only been a week).

Mind if I ask what you're refilling them with? I'm having trouble finding a vendor that offers 80/20 or 70/30 juices in flavors that I can find recommendations for. My 50/50 stuff is giving me the "burnt" taste, and I know it's starving the atty because it's too thick.

Thanks all.
I think it's really coming down to the way I pull on it. If I don't pull as hard I get more consistency with flavor.
Also when the carto gets warm, I wait for it too cool down before my next drag.

Frick, Sniggity hit on something important here. Softer shallower draws seem to work better with high VG concentrations, and keep the carto cooler generally as well.

Mostly Velvet Vapors. I just suck harder or slower if the taste isn't optimum. Or I add WOW liquid from V4L to thin it out. Occassionally I use Vapor Bomb and Tasty Vapors too. None of these I have except Tasty Vapors is ALL PG. I prefer the smoothness and taste of VG and I am usually using VV organic VG.

Thanks Leaford. I tried that. My Vaperite organic 50/50 juice (four different flavors) are all terrible in these cartos, no matter how I draw on them. Instant burnt taste. Last night, I tried filling one again, thinking I did something wrong, didn't let it sit long enough, etc. Even did the Taryn Spin on one of them; it was saturated with juice coming out of the battery end. Gentle blow-through, wipe and onto the battery: instant burnt taste. Just nasty.

These cartos do not like 50/50 juice. I have three full cartos of it that I will empty tonight (reverse Taryn Spin, thanks for that) because they're just gross.

I've noticed this too. I have some VR4 from Vaperite that I love more than I will ever love a child, but about half way through I get a burnt taste. Part of this may be the sugar in it but I think its mainly the 50/50 mix. Wish I could get it in all PG.

I plan on diluting my 50/50 Vaperite until I get a good enough mix to vape in these cartos. I ordered unflavored 18mg PG to cut it with. I cannot go back to 510 stuff after tasting the warm vape of the 808 BMF cartos, but the Vaperite is too good to waste.

I buy VG nic juice at 25 mg and dillute it down to 5. I do this with a VG base glyc that has been cut with demin water.. On top of that I ad about 10 % flavouring that is PG. So it is thin enough to be fx sucked in a syringe.. mind you it takes longer than with PG but it can get in there.. Maybe thats why I can get the cartos going with VG, without nasty taste. The first dripfill takes a while but once it has been soaked the juice goes down fine...

Should maybe also say im kinda hysteric with my cartos if they have some ekstra taste.. Even the SC Boges has some ekstra horrid thing going on, and those are the ones everybody says are the ones to use.. So if i can use vg in these, it has to be possible for some og you to... maybe the base liquid you can get here in DK is what gives the diff cus its a VERY nice vape...

Frick, I noticed this too - the 50/50 blend does not bode well in ANY carto - much less the BMF cartos -- some juices are simply made for 3pc systems (batt+atty+cart) - the 70/30 blend works very well on low viscosity juices ... (some 70/30s are 'thicker' than others) - the problem is not with the juice or with the equipment, but rather the combination of the two. My first venture into PG/VG blends had me sampling 50/50 without good results. I have since settled on a 70/30 blend...

I am getting good results refilling prefilleds with 50/50 even on a 5v PT. I ordered 25 more blanks, hopefully from the new batches that are labeled, and will be using 50/50 juice. IMO, the blanks "should" work with all blends or come with a disclaimer, otherwise we end up with consumers unhappy and complaining about Bloog. I believe that is Leaford's mission.

Agreed. Vaperite's 50/50 doesn't seem particularly thick, and I have "High Caliber" stuff that's quite thin and 50/50...and neither of them vape well in BMF cartos. I haven't tried any other cartos to compare, but in BMF cartos, it's instant burnt taste. At least I can empty them and refill with a more 'compatible' mix.

Are the ones you're getting good results with the newer batch labeled with the resistance? I'm thinking maybe the resistance on the cartos I have (which aren't labeled) is the issue.

Either way, 50/50 doesn't work on any of the 4 or 5 I've tried it with.

Leaford has said that the reason other cartos work better with heavier-VG blends is that on other cartos (the V4L in particular), the wick/filler are in almost direct contact with the atty coil, where on the BMF cartos there's a bit of space.
