How long does an 808 carto last once filled?

Just want to know if I'm getting anything close to what you guys get. I use blank WOW! cartos from V4L and, using the condom-fill method (no taryn spin), with light to moderate use, I can start tasting a lack of flavor (this happens with various juices: Johnson Creek, VaporBomb, V4L) after about 5 - 7 sessions (session: approximately ten to twelve 3-4 second puffs) before I can tell the juice is running low. Popping the white cap off shows a dry-looking polyfill and I know it's time to stop because I get the early hint of a burnt taste. I'm not sure what you guys mean by "hours" of vaping unless in reference to the overall lifespan of the carto but how much are you getting from a single fill?

Would love to know. Thanks!

I do not use the condom fill. I only vape my cartos to around 1/3 empty to 1/2 empty and then add more juice. I can just tell when the vapor seems a bit dry or a bit light or tastes a bit off or the carto is vaping too warm, and then I take it off the battery, pull the plastic drip tip I use an a mouthpiece, tilt it, and add a bit more juice into the stuffing and it usually needs 6-9 drops at that time. If I have a tissue then I hold it against the threaded end hole while I do that. After I make sure the threaded end is dry, tilt the open end down and puff into the threaded end to clear the air channel (I want to see light through there) and if necessary I touch a a bit of tissue softly to the top of the stuffing if it looks too wet (I don't want it sputtering onto my tongue).

So I can't tell you. I would never vape a carto dry. I don't wan to singe it and ruin the flavor.

ok let me rephrase the question. how many puffs (estimate) would you say you take from a freshly filled carto before you add more juice?

I often used to ask the same question. This information is usually important for one to plan your day or when you are about to go on a trip. There are many variables that determine the answer to your question. Some of the influences have been mentioned above and the main determining factors are:
Voltage - 3.7 or higher (Lower Voltage allows for longer usage)
Carto Resistance - LR, Std or HV (LR's will consume juice at a higher rate)
Types of Juice - PG vs VG (VG is consumed faster)

I find that a std carto gives me the same amount of "Puffs" as I used to get from about 6 - 8 Analogue cigarettes (i.e. between 90 and 120 4 to 5 sec draws)

This isn't easily answered. It depends on your hardware. I use variable voltage or dual coil cartomizers. I vape 6-7ml's a day. I take very long draws. I hope you see where I'm going with this answer....everyone is different.

Also note:
If you are using vertical coil cartos (atomizer in a tube that runs all the way up the center of the carto...you can usually see a loop of wire at the top), you pretty much want to keep it wet at all times. The design heats liquid along the full length of the carto and pretty much ALL of the polyfill can endure a great deal of heat. Not sure about your WoW cartos, but Boge and Smoktech are examples of Vertical coils.

If you have horizontal coil cartos (small horizontal atomizer at the very bottom of the carto), you can vape much longer before needing to add more liquid because only the very bottom of the poly-fill gets close to the heating coils, and in theory the liquid drains downward keeping the filler wettest near the coils. These are more common in the KR808D-1, 901, and 801 format. Note...thicker liquids sometimes don't flow downward on their own...so a little spin or occasional light taps on the palm (like with old tobacco ciggies) can help out some with the thicker liquids in these.

They come in all different lengths as well....a longer carto can hold more drops of liquid. Megas, XL, driper style, the list goes on and on. www.nhaler.com has a great selection of stuff to get an idea of what all is out there. Not bad prices either.

Also, how much you 'pack in' using tricks like the taryn spin, syringes, etc...can make a big difference.

There is a V4L forum here for people who use the V4L batteries and cartos. I'd suggest asking there, since the folks who read there have experience with the WOW and Cool Carts. Go to the main Forums page, and scroll way down to find the V4L Forum.

I use them as well, but I haven't graduated to filling them myself yet. I just use the pre-filled. I probably use 1 to 1.5 cartos per day. I'm not sure exactly because I switch flavors constantly, so I always have about 4 or 5 cartos going at the same time. I think the WOW cartos are about about 1 ml of fluid, and the Cool Carts are 1.2ml. From what I've read here, though, that's "unusual" in that most people vape more than that (3-5ml?) per day.

Is it possible that you are underfilling your cartos?

For me, WOW cartos run too hot as I chain. I LOVE and use Bloog (not crappy Boge) cartos and, as they are horizontal coils, they seem to last a long time before any flavor change for me. AND you can fill them and be vaping right away, no spinning. I use a hypo at first, condom method was fine, and a hypo or just drops for refills. Why use a vert coil that you have to keep wet all the time as Credo said... My advice: order 5 blanks from Bloog or a 5 pack of a flavor you want to try and goes well with a liquid you have for a refill and try a Bloog carto instead.

I don't think there really is an answer. Never vape until you get the burnt taste, then the carto is done. As soon as flavor drops off, pop off the end and add a few drops. Better yet, get some drip tips and just pull it off and add some drops. maybe you aren't filling all the way?

If the cartos don't last long enough for you, Ikenvape sells mega cartos for a KR808. They hold a lot of juice.

Other cartomizers are horizontal coil. Joye mega cartos are, SLB, there are a few. What is spinning?

According to the site- (they're out BTW)

The Almighty Black KR808 MEGA Cartomizer, We ran through beta testing and it is unanimous, they hold 54-70 drops of liquid and will run anywhere from 3-5 hours without needing a refill

IKV MEGA KR-808 Cartomizer STD

I've gotten them for my mom and she loves them. With her XL V4L batteries and this carto she looks a little bit like Cruella DeVille

Looks like they do have the LR megas but I'm not sure you can use them on a KR808. But I don't know.

About the same for me using a V4L battery with Bloog cartos.

Anywhere else someone can order these from? Ikenvape is currently out of stock.
