    I've used internal batt mods for well over two years of daily use. A Regulated mod should be safe.
    The electronics usually go first- like a whacky screen, or won't charge right. Reasons to discard would be a faulty USB connection and auto firing.

    I've thought about a yearly replacement but a brand new one can be as faulty as a used one.

    A typical battery should handle about 300 charge cycles. Then, like stated above, you'll see longer charging is needed for less and less vaping time.

    It shouldn't explode.

    I find the circuitry of an internal battery device usually craps out first.
    My MVP2 is well past its two year mark, but I don't charge it as often as when I first received it.

    Ive been using my Ego One 2200mah for almost a yeae now. Still works fine, but is there a certain time I should stop using it? To avoid explosion (not that it would explode, just saying)

    I think if I had been using any type of Built In Battery e-Cigarette for a Year Straight, I would be think about getting a Back Up for it.

    If it still Holds a Charge like when you first got it, there Isn't really any reason to stop using it. But when they Fail, they can sometimes fail Suddenly and without much Warning. So having a Back Up to it is Good to have.

    Battery still holds a charge almost like day 1. It lasts me all day. I charge it overnight. In theory, it should just die before it explodes right? Lol. These heavy, solid devices exploding stories scare me lol

    I hate hearing people say that they Charge e-Cigarette overnight.

    Man... If something was to Go Wrong, I wouldn't want it to happen when I was Asleep.

    Lol. People have now become ridiculously spooked about batteries to the point of being ludicrous about the things. For cripes sakes, your battery is not a freaking ticking time bomb. I charge batteries of all sorts overnight. That includes my vaping gear, cell phones, power tools, etc. Nothing has failed or exploded on me, ever.

    This is just getting ridiculous.

    Sound like it's got at least another year, maybe more in it.

    The exploding batteries stories are mostely with people using mechanical mods, or putting batteries carelessly in pocket together with keys and coins where the battery gets shorted out by contact with metal.

    Your ego one has basic protections like short circuit protections;
