I sympathize, I had a hard time with the sore throat thing too. I found that what helped me was to up the vg level in my juices. I also had to adjust my vape style, I had a habit of vaping like I smoked, so I lessened the throat and lung hits and did more just mouth hits. If you like berry flavors, I found that keeping a Halls Fruit Breezers lozenge (they have berry and strawberry flavors, no menthol in them) in my mouth and vaping a berry/fruit juice helped through the rough patches.

Sorry to confuse the issue but I went through the same thing and found i had to LOWER the vg in my juices. I now vape pure PG and the dry throat has reduced but things I found helped were, hydrating a lot before the last vape of the day and gargling with soda water before bed.

i'm down on the nose blowing thing, i sound like an elephant all day at work. can't figure out why it's raining out of my nostrils. did not do this before IIRC when i started vaping the first time. no sore throat, no vape tongue, i use Altoids in the day but i have always done that. weird with the nose running, feel like i'm a {Moderated}!!! (saw that on TV, no experience for real!)

It sounds as if people are saying this is a normal thing, but I don't think it is! I agree that a) your nic level may be too high, or b) you need to cut down (or rule out) either VG or PG. It seems more common to hear of people having to go with 100% VG and cut out the PG. PG gives more throat hit and seems to bother some people.

What's your nic level?

I'd try ordering a 100% VG juice from somewhere like Velvet Cloud Vaper (there are other places, but this is the one I recall off the top of my head). See if that helps. If it does, you can then try juices with higher VG than PG to see how much PG you can tolerate.

A couple weeks after I was completely off analogs, I developed a very irritated throat and dry, almost constant, cough. I dropped my nic from 12mg to 4mg and upped my VG to 40%. That took care of it at the time.

In the last couple days, I've noticed the same thing happening again. Made some juice that was 30pg/70vg and dropped the nic to 2mg. Hasn't helped this time. I'm not vaping near as much as I was because of it.

Try adjusting you nic and pg/vg levels and see if you can find the right spot for you. Guess I'm still looking.

And yeah, I've had a runny nose the whole time, almost 3 months now, but that ain't nothing a kleenex can't handle.

I had the sore throat thing for quite a while as well. It really took a while to calm down. I agree, switch up your juices and see if that helps at all. Another issue I have is small painful blackheads or pimples under my hairline and around my lips. I have an order of juice coming from Fuzion and their stuff uses no PG other than what may be in a flavoring. The sore throat has went away the pimples are persistent.

Just thought I'd chime in real quick. For about the past couple months I have had a severe sore throat. Saw all the remarks on drink a little water, lower the NIC content, and see a doctor, all of which I did. What I discovered is that it was the silica wick that was causing my sore throat. I now use a 100% cotton wick which seems to be doing me better (of course I have a rebuildable atomizer). Just an FYI, I was chain vaping, which I am doing again, with no problem yet. I'm glad this is working because I really need to get off the analogs!
