How long is the post office delaying orders?

I have an order that left the sort facility in NC on the 14th. That was the last tracking info on it. How bad is the post office backed up? I know its that season (which you would think the post office would gear up for), but this is crazy slow

It really depends on your City, the sorting facilities, and how much has to be carried per day. USPS is a mess every where, here they are working 12 hour days and still behind. The issues with the postal service then all the holiday mailings make it much worse than usual.

Our local news showed piles of mail backed up for a month. Generally it was just the junk mail and grocery store flyers pushed aside for later, but they said all packages were going to another facility to be delivered from there.

Im really starting to think it would have been faster to have it shipped pony express!

Don't pay too much attention to the tracking. USPS may not update it until you actually receive your package. So far, some of the packages I have coming from various places are 1 day slower than usual and that's only IF they arrive today.

Usps has never been good with tracking. I just hope this is the case. The order i placed on the 11th last shows in NC. The order I placed on the 15th shows only 20 miles away from my place. Odd how that works. LMFAO

Call and ask were it is they have been able to tell me where it is better than the tracking number will.

a recent order took 9 days to get here (arrived saturday) from florida to PA.

Here in Illinois i place 2 orders 1 from east of Mississippi and 1 from west of it.
Both arrived in 3 days from time they were shipped via first class which i hear may not be an option come March.

Ok, disregard all that crap i posted earlier. Both orders came in today! Thank you Hoogie and team. Now I can start thinking about my next order. ;-)
