No No you guys are looking at it all wrong, heres how geoff mixes the juice, (by what i can tell/figure out)

** note to make it easier these are going to just be all PG based.
lets start with 3, 30ml bottles, bottle A is 0mg nic, bottle B is going to be 12mg nic, and bottle C is going to be 48mg nic,

we'll use tastyfinger as the flavor, so in order to 'flavor' a Full 30ml bottle, lets say you will need about 8ml of pure flavoring, so we will put 8ml of flavor in bottles A,B, and C,

now we will add the PG based Nic juice, which is a very high mg strength, so in bottle A we will add NONE, in bottle B we will add lets say 4ml's enough to make a 30ml bottle 12mg strength, and in bottle C we will add 12ml's enough to make a 30ml bottle 48mg strength,

are you all still with me??

so bottle A has 8ml's in it so far, bottle B has 12ml's in it, and bottle C has 20ml's in it,

Now we add PLAIN PG juice to fill these bottles up to 30ml's, so now all the bottles have the same amount of juice, all the bottles also have the same amount of flavor, the only thing that changes is the plain vs. nic juice ratio, the higher the nic the more high strength nic juice that is added, the lower the mg, the less nic juice that is needed,

do you understand it now? how the 'same' amount of flavor is used in each bottle,

In a doubler then the 8ml's of flavor is now 32ml's of total flavoring, then just plain PG added to fill it to the full 120ml's for that bottle size.

{ really don't think Geoff would mix that way. Even I (a DIY newb) don't do it that way.

Have a nic juice without any flavor. Let's say i have a 36 mg nic juice. 'll cut it down to the target nic. Only then i add flavor. So...adding flavor at 1% to a 12 mg target nic juice will be the same as adding it to a 0 nic juice.}

if you Cut to the Target Nic Level THEN add flavor, then you are actually getting a lower overall Nic mg, you have to consider how many ml's of flavor you are adding into the mix, even if it is just .2 ml's.

Adding 1% or 2% flavor does not make a big difference in DIY. 1 drop on 99 is not noticeable. I bet my nic juices are more accurate than some commercial ones.

But basically you said the same thing i did...the point is that the flavor is at same percentage on each juice.

This is what i usually do depending on target bottle: if my target bottle is a 5 ml one i divide the source nic by 5 (48mg/5 = 9,6 mg) So for every ml of 48mg juice i add ill have 9,6mg. If i want a 9,6 mg juice i add just that one ml and 4 ml of juice and flavoring.

If i want a 14 mg (14,4 mg) ill add 1,5 and fill up the rest.

This is how i do it coz it really makes it simple depending on the target bottle...and i dont have to count drops.

But i really prefer TV juices...i suck at making my own juice.

And this is how i cut my TV preciousssssssssssssssssssssss juicessssssssssssssss!

Hold the bus! Here's how it all works:

You simply use your own nic instead of buying Geoff's 48mg bottle is the bottom line.

You mix it with the doubler using the same ratios he uses. That is what the calculator does. It figures how much you need to add to any doubler amount to get the level of nic you want and it won’t be diluted too much either. That’s what a doubler is for. It’s all accounted for.

I can make it for one third of the cost by doing DIY with 100mg nic and a doubler. That figure assumes shipping divided by buying 3 bottles of juice from him not just one, and the cost of my buying my nic and it’s shipping costs when I did the comparison.

I have been making my own juices for over two months using the calculator. I have most all of Perfumer's Apprentice's flavors, over 50 of them. I'll still DIY but TV's stuff is just so good. Better than what I’ve come up with in most cases and using the doublers with my own 100mg nic is still cheaper than buying a 1oz and a doubler and mixing those. That is the bottom line. The flavor isn't reduced any beyond what a 1oz and a doubler would make using a 48mg bottle of 1oz.

Here is Geoff's mix broken down to show how the calculator works with any amount:
A 48mg 1oz and a doubler makes 148ml.

The calculator says to make that much based on 100mg PG based Nic, 20% VG, and 20% flavor in the mix you’d need Nic 35.52ml; PG 53.25ml; VG 29.6ml and Flavor 29.6ml. (I used the reverse order to figure that. The calculator will work in ether direction.)

This is assuming that he uses 20% flavor but he doesn’t and won’t say what that number is and what he uses of course, trade secret. But the math is the same if the amount of either ingredient is changed, the amounts also change to meet the ratios that make up the calculator. Get the calculator at the top of the DIY page, first sticky.

the doubler doesnt have more flavor than its one ounce size With Nic. its like with coke, a can of coke and a 2 litre bottle of coke will taste the same, now imagine that the can of coke has nic in it and the 2 liter doesnt, so if you wanted to dilute the strength of nic from the Coke Can to a more perfered strength then you would cut it with its 2 liter sister and Not lose any flavor, but if your 'using' a different 'soda' 'plain nic juice' and cut it with the 2 liter bottle of coke 'doubler' then you are losing some flavor,

Dont misunderstand me here, I am not trying to change your way of doing things or your way of thinking, Its your hard earn money and you, as well as I, do what we want with it. But Id rather not have to deal with 100mg???? strength juice that can hurt me if im not careful with it, or me myself would rather not dilute this really amazing tastyfinger flavor.

speaking of which, man is this juice GOOD, I really liked it the day Before, Fell in love with it yesterday, and after drinking some coffee this morning and vaping Tastyfinger...... I Married It Today! I love coffee and this juice just taste soo good with coffee.

As Paco stated...yes it is the bottom line. BUT your own nic DOES not have any flavoring....hence the difference!

I can actually imagine myself using some flavourart nic juice with a TV doubler...but that does not taste like a 48 mg tasty finger juice....so i won't bother. Because i won´t risk spoiling my precious Tasty Finger!

Look, I'm trying to impart some DIY knowledge I discovered about using my own nic and doublers to others so they can save even more money than by just using a 1oz bottle of liquid and mixing it with a doubler. This is a verified and proven technique.

Three people on my DIY thread below already do this:
Synthnadz
Mrjaguar
Smokin n Jokin

rfun6 said she is fixing to do the same thing!

What they do is that they use 100mg nic with doublers. Note: You can't use 50mg - the next most popular nic level to 100 or you'll lose flavor. The discussion about the amount of flavor is not relivant if you are using a known and proven method to get to the end result.

The result we are looking for is how much nic to use with doubler liquid to get the amount of TV you want in ml, at the nic mg that you want it at. Period.

Get the calculator and plug the numbers in. Use the numbers in the thread I started below by Synthnadz in post number 4 of the thread (quoted below so you don't have to search for it). They were verified by the calculator's creator, Scubabatdan who also DIYs.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...does-anyone-diy-tasty-vapor-doublers-nic.html

Here is what Synthnadz said in his post:

"I use 100mg / ml nic liquid to make 12mg liquid with my Doublers, using 1.25ml of 100mg nic liquid mixed with 8.75ml of Doubler to make a 10ml batch. Doing this results in the perfect amount of flavor with every Doubler I have - and I have over 20 of them. This mixing scheme is insanely inexpensive compared to buying nicotine-based liquids."

Now, plug the numbers he gave into Dan's calculator on the left side in Section One showing PG Base. Put the Water/Vodka/PGA and Flavor at zero and it shows pretty much what you have here in Section 2; That is 1.20 PG with Nic and PG Without Nic which is read as TV doubler at 8.80. The calc numbers are so close to his as to be negligable.

Use that example and if you get the same numbers then you've got it and you'll understand how it works.

The calculator is here:

we understand what your trying to say. but the bottom line IS that WE are paying for what we want, and i would rather pay a couple cents more per ml and support a person who does what Geoff does, because just knowing that the juice I recieved from him is HandMade to the amount of VG i wanted, even later when i order more juices and ask for him to Tone down a certian flavor or make a certain part of a flavor stronger, or just the fact of knowing that these juices arent just sitting somewhere in a box waiting for someone to Buy them, and because of all of these things and more, i have a very deep respect for Geoff and the juices that he makes. So i dont care if in the long run i am paying more for addiction. Heck i would be happy to be paying $20 for these great juices.

Yes...as long as it works it's ok. But even with a 100 mg nic juice you will lose flavor. I think that some flavors like AC will not suffer much.

And you really don´t need a calculator when using TV doublers. Making a 10 mg nic juice in a 10 ml batch is really 100/10= 10 mg per ml. Now that should could serve you right. It means you will be adding 9 ml of a TV doubler to 1 ml of 100 mg nic juice. That means, no matter what, that you will be cutting the flavor by 10%. In most cases that could be ok. But if you want a 20 mg nic juice you will be cuutting the flavor by 20%: you would add 2 ml of your nic juice to 8 ml of doubler...

If you use the 24 mg from TV you won´t lose any flavor at all.

This could be solved if TV would provide you a doubler with 10% or 20% more flavoring depending on how much nic juice you add.

But all is ok when it ends ok.
