I believe they come back in stages. At least they did for me. About a week or so then around 3 months and the biggy I noticed was about 8 months. Eight months is when tobacco e-juices in which I always vaped tasted horrible. Went to Fruits, coffees and Rootbeers. I had a bad coffee addiction and now I can only drink about 1/2 cup of coffee in the morning.

Began to notice smells after a couple of weeks (some good, some bad...I had forgotten the bad ones...whew).

Real taste took longer as I remember...about 2-3 months. Then I had a war with my buds for several more months as they turned on me at times...made peace at times. Completely untrustworthy...ornery little critters.

Don't write off any juices for a couple of months...let them steep and try 'em again...you never know.

I got my sense off smell back after a week or so, that was a shock.
I have noticed that I taste juices differently a few weeks into vaping. I suspect it evolves and I'm kind off enjoying the re-discovery of things... just have to take the bad with the good.

As for juices, I agree that if somethings doesn't taste good, it may taste good later on, or even depending on what I ate or am drinking or even the time of day. In any case, it's interesting to get those senses back after all those years :)

Smell and taste started to come back about 1 week after completely stopping cigarettes. The way I really noticed it was I cooked a nice ribeye with the same amount of seasoning I always use and it was a bit overpowering lol. After 3 weeks, fruit flavor vapors that were part of my every day rotation quickly became way too much for me.

I've been off cigs for 4 weeks now, I had vapers tongue up until last week and didn't notice a big change with food. I did notice my sense of smell was improving almost instantly. Last few days the vapers tongue is starting to go so can taste vapor better, still not noticed much of a difference with food. Maybe it's different for everyone.
