I think it would be interesting to have a simple listing of how long the various ecigs have been lasting members WITH replacement parts. Suggested format:

1) Brand and style, ie njoy, penstyle
2) Heavy, Medium, Light Smoker
3) xdays, xweeks or xmonths
4) Using eliquids or not - refilling and/or dripping
5) tell us about the parts needing replacement
6) Still working or not

PS I entered this topic before but it seemed to have disappeared
NB This is for reporting by those members who have needed replacement parts.

1) Brand and style, NJoy, penstyle
2) Medium Smoker
3) Now working on my 1st week
4) Using eliquids? refilling - not yet, waiting for e cig to restock. 50ml is a lot of juice!
5) 1st full day of use, atomizer crashed. Mark promptly sent a replacement. Looking back now, after some experimentation and a new stock of cartridges, it may have actually been my fault for the crash due to pure persistiveness to acquire smoke. I have determined (at least in my case) the sample cartridges were not fully charged with juice. Went dry prematurely, who knew? Tapping, blowing, vacuuming and generally abusing the atomizer trying to get at least my 1 pack out of it.
6) Still working quite well with full cartridges.. :D

1) Brand and style, SmartFixx, penstyle
2) Medium to Light Vape-er
3) 3 weeks of ownership
4) Using only Bickford's Flavors; refilling and dripping
5) Bad Battery (kept charge for an hour or 2), they sent 2 replacements
6) Still working perfectly. Just bought another --works even better!

Had my Njoy over a month now. Working on my second new atomizer. I just got this new atomizer on Friday and it's the ceramic one this time. Hopefully, this is it.

Edited to add: Awww crap. I should have paid attention to the format instructions. Gawd. Okay, cartridge and occasional drip on this model.

Edited to add again: Awww double crap. Rule breaker here. I'm a medium smoker.

Did I cover it all? Yeah...all over the place.

1) Brand and style, NJoy, penstyle
2) Medium Smoker (~25 sticks a day)
3) Working on my 2nd week with first replacement atomizer.
4) Using eliquids? refilling - not yet, waiting for e cig to restock. End of August I believe.
5) Well, batteries started to go from 8 hrs per charge to finally 2 hrs on 6/15/08 then the atomizer completely failed. Don't know if it was the batteries or the atomizer that was the problem. Mark should be sending both.
6) Waiting for 2nd replacement now.

Sent an email on the eve of the 19th to see why I hadn't received replacement. Return email says went out today. Not pleased... if I hadn't checked on Thursday I don't believe it would have been sent still.

OK. 6/23/08 finally received my replacement.. about 7 packs of cigarettes later. Resetting the clock on this the second replacement. Post results when it fails or more than 2 weeks which ever comes first. Not very confident right now.

1) NJoy, penstyle
2) Light to Medium smoker (3 to 4 cigarettes on weekdays, easily a pack and a half on some weekends)
3) 18 days
4) Just cartridges
5) First atomizer worked great but had an off taste/smell. Mentioned this to Mark at NJoy, so he sent me another one. Just after I sent the original atomizer back in the mail (which I think was fine, as the offending smell/taste had gone away), the new atomizer went dead. It lasted less than 2 days. Grrr...
6)I'm sure it will be still working after the new atomizer gets here.

OK today is the 4th of July! Nearly 2 weeks now.

Replacement doing just fine. I suspect myself as the biggest culprit in my quest for the working atomizer. However, that being said, I am not real pleased with the performance of the black batteries. I plan to buy a couple of white ones in the near future from Smart Fixx.

I cannot emphasize this enough, you really need to read and ask questions about e-smoking. As much as it may seem, it is NOT a no brainer as I thought it would be.

See my post in tips and tricks MORE SMOKE! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/1141-cartridge-tips-ruyan.html

It tells you how to get more vapor from your pen style.

1) Brand and style: smart fixx penstyle
2) I was and my wife is a Heavy Smoker, I used the unit heavy for two weeks and quit smoking, she's still using it heavily
3) 3 weeks
4) Using eliquids- refilling and dripping both
5) tell us about the parts needing replacement
I have four atomizers but all are working fine. Had to send back all black atomizers, but they sent the white ones which work well. Also, black batteries wouldn't hold charge but they sent out white batteries which work better.
6) Still working or not: yes, but I have noticed as have my wife, that the atomizers put out much more smoke for the first few days to a week, then taper off a bit. They do not continue to degrade, but the level of vapor they put out is much more satisfying to my wife for the first few days, after that she tends to get frusterated sometimes and want a real cigarette due to the weaker amount of vapor.

1) New White NJoy (received 5/16)
2) Heavy Smoker
3) Atomizer died 3 wks later
4) Refilling cartridges
5) 2nd Replacement atomizer lasted 3 days
---3rd Replacement lasted 8 days
6) Working good otherwise

1) New Black NJoy received 6/24
2) Heavy Smoker
3) 1 Battery died 10 days later (7/4)
4) Using cartridges only
5) Have to inform NJoy yet
6) Working good otherwise

Kissbox ordered 5/28 - received 6/10
Atomizer got dangerously hot on the USB connection - appeared to be faulty atomatic switch.
Replacement order got mixed up
Requested refund and received $$ refund 7/2
Decided I didn’t think I would enjoy all the extra features,
i.e., the USB connection and the switches.
Too complicated.
We need more reliability and stability not more parts and complications.

PS
NJoy Customer Service - Excellent!
Janty Kissbox Customer Service - Very Acceptable!
If they didn't screw up my replacement kit I might still be an owner of a Janty Kissbox

6/23/08 finally received my 2nd replacement. Resetting the clock on this the second replacement.

Now both batteries are shot. They each go dead before the other is completely charged. Asked NJoy Mark if he would replace them with white ones. Want to see if there is any difference.

Don't know why the white ones would be any better unless there are more of them sold and the stock is actually newer.

Atomizer doing fine still.

One of the problems with great service, like NJoy, is when all of a sudden that great service starts turning to good service and then to acceptable service.

1st, my emails read and answered right away, parts shipped 1st working day, then my emails read and answered right away, parts shipped a week later after prompting for shipment, to now, wonder when he's going to even read my email?

My respect for NJoy Mark, is really going straight down the tubes.

Maybe this new contract with Target has given them the feeling they don't need to give good service anymore.

Is anybody else having similar problems with NJoy?

Just a note that one of my atomizers died today. An original died after a week of use. I received two as replacement. These made it a month.

Now ... my second purchase, last January in fact, was a DealExtreme e-cigar for $34. It has never faltered and I use it daily with the original atomizer. It doesn't produce much vapor -- never did -- but I'm using mostly high-test Bickford mix now and it tastes superb.

Hey Gunny

I'm waiting for a reply about a duff atomiser. Marian posted that the NJOY guys have been on the road promoting the product and are in Atlantic City today for a casino launch. If they're a small outfit that could explain the radio silence. Not optimal, but at least comprehensible and I'll let it go for a couple of days.

That's great Emp, but my batteries are only lasting about 1 hour a piece and I predict will fail very soon.

I am down to 2~3 cigarettes a day now and last time I went through 7 packs of cigarettes waiting for parts and I really don't want to do that again.

Promoting your business is great, but I don't think it should be at the expense of your customers.

Sorry, I just really want this eCig thing to work for me. Call me selfish, maybe so, I just want the service I paid such a high price for and was advertised to be.

I understand Njoy being a small outfit and the excitement of going mainstream...but if they're expanding business, they should consider expanding the crew too. Have someone to respond to emails. And if that's not possible right now, use an auto-responder to let the customer know when to expect a correspondence about their problem.

Hey Gunny and Karen

With me it IS selfishness. I only have one NJOY and it's dead. My cheap pen-style is chugging along OK and I have multiple spare parts for it (four of everything), all for less than I paid for the NJOY. So I want the alpha cig making my coffee as well as stroking my nicotine centres.

If I was relying on a single device I'd be a lot more vocal.

OK... I just cannot deal with a no response customer service! I just ordered 2 batteries from Smart Fixx w/10% discount (not a big deal, but HEY!).

As a result of this neglect on NJoy's part, I will be doing all my business with other vendors and just use NJoy as a warranty service for the over priced $110.00~ pen style I bought from them.

I assumed the price reflected their customer service policy that went from excellent to OK to POOR.

That is to say, unless they do something incredible, like sending me 4 batteries to replace 2 dead ones and a free NPro to demo or something like that. That might get me to reconsider how I am currently rating them.

At this time my rating is stay away from NJoy.:-x

Taking control of the free market!
