how low is to low?

Since I can't pick up a multimeter until friday and i've been wrapping coils I'm sure are pretty low it got me thinking, I don't think i'v read any material involving what can hapoen if my ohm rating is superlow. Using the high drain aw's like everyone else. Is it just a matter of once you get so low the battery simply just has it's power limit? Ive seen a few vids over regulated mods where they state the reason for stacking a couple '350s is the only way you are going to pass 12 watts or so because a single 18650 doesnt have the output. So on a mech mod with a 650 is a matter of the battery reaching a limit? Or is there an explosive battery threat even at a full charge?

The battery in theory has no limit. You have to think of it as the coil drawing amperage from the battery rather than the battery producing amperage. The resistance of the coil is going to determine the amount of amperage it draws from the batt. If it is too low it will get hot and could explode. I have had it happen on accident with an aw 18650. Be careful!!!

Agreed with the previous advice. I regularly vape .4ohm coils but you have little to no margin for error, and you shouldn't attempt these builds until you have mastered more stable builds. Start at 1.2-1.0ohms and work your way to .8 if you want to try extreme vaping but do not attempt significantly lower builds without understanding the risks and developing confidence in your proficiency

So here's this calculator (that I got from someone else's post). Put in 4.2 volts (yes, experts?) cause that's where your battery is at full charge. Put in the resistance of your build; and check that against the spec.s of your battery: "Maximum Continuous Discharge Rate"

Ohm's and Joule's Law Calculator

Thats correct. Plug in voltage and resistance, hit calculate and compare amperage values.
