As Burton said, find the amp rating of the battery but I would add that for safety sake, do not go beyond 2/3 of the rated limit. So for a 30a battery don't go over 20a. This will ensure a minor mistake or inaccurate ohm reading won't end in disaster and it will also prolong the batteries life.
If those bats are 11 amp then Rule62 is right about .6 is about as low as you want to shoot for. If you happened to end up with .5 it would be usable but I wouldn't try to go that low.
