How low of ohm of ohm is still safe with an efest 18500?

check the amp limit of the battery and use that to decide since i do not know that info offhand...

As Burton said, find the amp rating of the battery but I would add that for safety sake, do not go beyond 2/3 of the rated limit. So for a 30a battery don't go over 20a. This will ensure a minor mistake or inaccurate ohm reading won't end in disaster and it will also prolong the batteries life.

AW and Efest 18490s are 1100mAh. With those batteries, I wouldn't go below about .6 ohms.

Efest 18500 are only rated at 11amp.

If those bats are 11 amp then Rule62 is right about .6 is about as low as you want to shoot for. If you happened to end up with .5 it would be usable but I wouldn't try to go that low.

Efest 18490 IMR 1100 mAh battery (8.8 amp continuous discharge rate) = 0.6 ohm coil will pull 7 amps current from battery.

AW 18490 IMR 1100 mAh battery (16.5 amp continuous discharge rate) = 0.3 ohm coil will pull 14 amps current from battery.
