I'm new also and I have recieved 1 atty DOA and one battery DOA, both were from two seperate kits. atty from 501 kit and a battery that I just ordered for my mom from a 801 kit. Both sellers / suppliers were happy to replace. Really the only issues with recieving something DOA is if the seller / supplier won't help you. I have been very happy with my dealings with people in this industry so far. Good luck to you. Expect to get some now and then.
