Where they get you with the 1 carto = 1 pack of cigarettes is in the nicotine content. If you look at advertisements for something like this, most of them don't say "Will last as long" as a 1 pack. They just say equal to. It's a marketing scheme, tho technically they aren't lying, it's still deceiving to the customer. If you get tired of filling cartos, I know I did, try going with a carto tank. I have had good luck with the Smoketech DCC Tanks. The 6ml version will last me about 3 days before I need to refill.

Are you using pre-filled cartos? It gets expensive if you are going through multiple cartos a day. Filling and topping off your own is much more economical.

I normally have about 4 flavors going and the 4 cartos I fill with those flavors can last me 1 - 2 weeks depending on the juice before getting hard to draw or the flavor goes (usually too sweet, from sugars collecting). I just top them off a few times a day.

As far as nicotine consumption, it is hard to correlate to traditional tobacco. I use a combo of 18mg and 12mg juices and I average about 30mls a week.

Hey all,

I was a pack a day smoker pretty consistently for the last 10 years. Now that I'm vaping, I seem to be going through about 3 cartomizers per day. Does this seem right?

I top off my cartos several times a day .. using a clear / semi clear e-liquid, the carto itself lasts an average of about a week ..

Best to keep the filler damp at all times .. when you get that crackling noise, you're at the right spot ..

For the sake of argument let's say that the normal carto holds 1ml of juice, and the average vapor goes through 3ml/day.
So the simplest solution is to take 3 cartos with you when you leave the house.

I have always been envious of those who can manage a week out of 1 carto. I seldom get one that lasts more than a day or two before losing flavor. I will agree that clear liquids extend the life span. Topping off seems to get better performance than re-filling the carto IMO.

Love the crackle of a fresh carto!

I went thru a pretty long period learning curve .. with the liquid / top off timing / 3.0 / 2.0 cartos / even noticing the change in sound ..

and, although I have my personal habit down now, it's still not perfect .. and I do still get cartos that are defective ..

I don't clean cartos, but I do save them just in case we do have VapaGheddon at some point ..
