First I have tried the top sellers they were good but not worth the money. I have made about a couple of dozen. . From clones to "secret recipes". While they were good not quite right for my taste buds. I have made like 3- 10 ml batches and change the % just a bit thinking that would work NOPE. I have made a few and just changed or taken away one flavor NOPE. I have crock potted them, tossed them in a deep dark drawer for a long long time Nope. I will keep trying and trying till I find one that is close enough. I realize perfection is the enemy of good. I just don't want to settle for good lol. Short story long how many tries have you made to get the custard that you thought was bam bingo winning?

To anyone who want to preach about all the bad stuff in custard and vanillas and such save it cause you will not like my reply

Short story long, everyones taste is different and that makes it hard enough. It takes a lot of experimenting to get it right. I find not so much how you do it but more what flavors your using that make the biggest difference. If you list what flavors your using and what percentages your using we can better advise you.

Oh I know taste is subjective. I wasn't expecting help with which flavors and how much %. More of a question on how long you have been trying? Besides with up to 10 flavors the combination of all those would be a few hundred thousands. Never give up never surrender lol. How long did it take you to find the ONE?:vapor:
Or are you still trying?

I found the "ONE" right away but it took me forever to perfect the right combinations and concentrations of additives for thickness, wetness and texture. It's all in my blog.

cap vanilla custard v1 best custard out of all of the known brands IMO I've tried most of them i really liked stevos vanilla custard you have to go to page 6 in that thread there's a revised recipe it's good just make your own tweaks to it I like more eggnog sometimes it's all about trial and error the lady who made suicide bunny went through hundreds of recipes before picking the 4 she loved now she has one of the best selling lines the chances of you finding the perfect custard Isnt likely unless you really put in the time and the work because creating a complex flavor just isn't easy at all your gonna have to spend a lot money on flavors and bottles and pg/vg your gonna waste a lot of time mixing etc

I guess it's good to think positive but I doubt you're gonna have that attitude once you mix up 20-30 recipes lol it's time consuming I'm pretty much over it but hey everyone's different I'm by no means a quitter sometimes I just think it's smarter to cut your losses like if I'm spending 200+ on flavoring and more for bottles syringes etc it would be smarter to just buy premixed juice save me time and money but like I said before everyone's different

I never make up more than I will use might have 2 or 3 bottles sitting and steeping at one time. If the ones I buy on line are not good enough why settle? Right now I am very happy with my last mix. :vapor: It has been proven that diy says a lot of money that's why ppl do it. For my custard the only thing extra I buy is the flavoring which is 8 bucks for 30 ml concentrate. I like to mix batches while watching football which reminds me gotta make some juice today I understand your point that you don't want to waste your time. I don't rebuild coils because to buy them at 1.50 why waste my time :toast:

I rebuild my coils because I have different devices and I like doing different builds and if premium ejuice isn't doing it for you maybe you haven't tried the right stuff man have you tried unicorn milk or mothers milk that's some great juice right there man seriously kinda expensive but it's nice and Yeah that's pretty smart only mixing what your gonna vape but don't you still have to buy nic pg vg bottles and syringes?
