My friend uses a 901 and is the person that introduced me to all this. I went for the Super-Mini for the look and feel of a real cig.

At first I was using cartridges and enjoyed my friends 901 a lot more. But now I have switched to liquid, removed the inside of my cartridges to make them completely hollow, sawn off the ends so i'm not drawing through an annoying little hole, and drip 1 drop of juice onto the atomiser whenever I would have a regular cigarette.

Took me a few weeks to get it perfect for my needs, but it now easily beats the 901 on throat hit, flavour, effect, and amount of vapour, by a mile. I can't tell the difference between smoking my Super-Mini compared to a regular cig anymore, except I have a sweet cherry flavour instead of the taste of chemicals and tar...

Would love to have pipe, too. But the mini fogger comes with a warranty, so i will probably stop buying new ones before it expires and i find the spares are too expensive
I just love those things. I do not think it is a disease as Omniscient Trog does. When I smoked pipe, I had quite a few, too. All pipe smokers do. Only tobacco cigarette smokers got used to the idea of throwing the finished product out of the window of their car (or any other windor for that matter - of course, only applies to tobacco smokers in Slovakia ).

Hello everyone! This is my first post

I have been reading the endless amount of info since the 25th of November! I was sold and wanted to switch to the e-cig. Luckily, after speaking with a mate of mine here in Canada… he sorted me out with supplier friend of his. I bought the “HEALTH” Fashion New Life (lol) which is the M401 model. To be honest, I like it! It works well, easy to clean, I just put the atomizer in hot water for 15 mins, then blow it dry (bloody hell can it hold a lot of liquid!). The batteries are a little rubbish to be honest, they last about 2 hours so I have to keep charging them. I have a bunch of cartridges, and I bough some e-liquid from epuffer.com as they supply in Canada. Im still new tot his, but I like the juice… got the 0.6mg and it doing me fine. I have some questions tho!

How long before I start having problems, ie, atomizer or battery failing? Im only asking because I might travel next week and it might be a good idea to buy some spares…?
2. How many times can one refill the cartridge before it becomes ineffective?
3. How many drops do u guys use in a day? I use 4 to refill the cart and refill it maybe 3 -4 times a day. So 12-16 drops a day. I used to smoke 20-25 Marlboro lights a day… so is this too much?

I'd get some spares, you really need them with e-cigs if you are going to be dependent on them. When it comes to how much liquid you are using, it depends on the person. Get enough nicotine to be satisfied, but there is no reason to go overboard. Best to experiment with strengths and find out what works for you.

ok so im gonna get 2 spare atomizers and batteries for my travles. 20 carts and 1 30ml 0.6mg refil

but how can i work out what 16 drops of 0.6mg juice is equivalent to in real Marlboro lights?

u are right tho... i should just do puff to satisfy... ive read of some people going overboard from the start, so ive kept an eye on my self.

i would like to add that since quitting on the 28th of Nov this year, i have noticed:

1. MUCH better breathing
2. No more heart palpitations, and i mena ZERO!
3. better taste/smell/sleep/mood/energy/even sex drive

The juice you are using is 6mg per ml. Looked online and this tends to be the general opinion to drops per ml...

"The chemical "rule of thumb" for low viscosity liquids, the most common type we encounter, is 20 drops per ml from a standard eye dropper or pipette. The "rule of thumb" works amazingly well."

Thats based on water. Going with the liquid we use I would guess you are getting 1ml of liquid (6mg of nicotine) in around 15 drops.

Thats 1mg of nicotine per 2.5 drops, or 0.8mg of nicotine per 2 drops.

A typical Marlboro Red has 0.8mg of nicotine (at least here in the UK) meaning 2 drops is roughly the equivalent of a malboro red.

If you were using medium strength liquid (11mg) then just 1 drop would be just below the same level of nicotine as a Marlboro Red.

Other strengths would go as follows...

High (18mg) - 1 drop = 1.5 Marlboro Reds
Extra High (24mg) - 1 drop = 2 Marlboro Reds
Super High (36mg) - 1 drop = 3 Marlboro Reds

Looking at that it's easy to see why people get nicotine overdose so easily on the Super High stuff. 3 Marlboro Reds in 1 drop! Damn!

I generally use medium and simply put 1 drop on the atomiser and smoke until the vapour starts fading, thats basically the equivalent of a regular normal strangth cigarette.

These aren't official numbers, just some working out I just did in my head because you asked the question, but I imagine it's pretty close to the actual levels.

Hope that helps you (and anyone else that was wondering) balance out the drops per cigarette ratio.

Also as a point of interest, going by that numbers that means a 20ml bottle of liquid (around 350 drops) would contain the nicotine equivalent of the following...

Low (6mg) - 175 Cigarettes
Medium (11mg) - 330 Cigarettes
High (18mg) - 525 Cigarettes
Extra High (24mg) - 700 Cigarettes
Super High (36mg) - 1050 Cigarettes

Thats a hell of a lot of cigarettes. lol. 8-o

But something must be wrong with me. I was smoking 50-60 Liggett Lights a day before the ecig (have no idea what the nic content was....they are pretty much just a generic type cigarette).

No matter how much I vaped 11 or 18 mg, it did nothing for me...I still craved smoking analogs a lot. Now I do 24 mg and it really isn't still enough. After 5 minutes, I still feel like lighting an analog!

Now this might sound crazy but I even tried smoking 2 ecigs at once (...yes, you can do it side by side with the penstyle...my son thought I finally lost it...lol) both with 24 mg carts. Tasted great...but still not satisfying the nic urge.

Is something just wrong with me? Could I be immune to nic after 36 years of smoking analogs?

I just ordered some 36 mg juice....hope that works. If it's too strong, I do have some 0 nic to mix it with. I thought I would be smoking that in between to make sure I didn't get a nic overdose...heh...never touch the stuff now!

BTW....even when smoking 2 pens, I have no OD symptoms...no headache, no nausea...nothing. Sheesh!

Aye, my money would be the habit. I found myself lighting up a real cig and then putting it out after a few puffs when I was an e-cig neophyte. It does get better once you 'convince' yourself that you aren't missing out. It takes time, especially when you were such a heavy smoker.

driving my car,when i'm done vaping i put it down and without thinking, my hand goes automatically for the cigaret box which of cause isn't there anymore....
i have no cravings for them,it's the habbit of lightening a smoke after doing something.... i laugh when i realize it.

This is exactly me! I put down the ecig and reach for an analog. Most times I pick the ecig back up but the other times I go for the analog. Funny thing is...I am really beginning to dislike the analogs. The taste and smell is becoming horrid, especially after some of the fruity ejuices I've been using.

I do realize that smoking is a "start and end" for me. For example...I would wake up and smoke 2 analogs before getting out of bed. After I woke up some more, I would have one before I got in the shower....then one when I got out! And it was downhill after that!

I saw the poster here who said she's a "morning smoker". That seems to be the worst time for me as well. Once I get out of the house, it gets better....but I still find myself reaching for those dang analogs way more than I care too.

I probably need to rely more on the ecig but one day I had it hanging from my lips almost continuously (in my effort not to reach for the analogs) and my son commented on it. It seems that is almost what I would have to do to keep those analogs off my mind.

When I put out an analog, I don't feel like immediately reaching for my ecig, but the reverse is just the opposite. I thought it was because I was getting sufficient nic from the analog but not the ecig...but maybe it is more related to the habit. Aaarrggghhh!

Well, I'm going to keep plugging away (little play on words there? lol) because it is mandatory that I either totally quit the analogs or at least get it down to just a couple a day. I could live with that too.

quit smoking was for me unthinkable,never even tried it.
2 packs camel a day for 25years....

when i first tried the e-cig, i said it's do-able,and throw away the analogs.

the first couple of days i was vaping high nic....constantly...i too got the comment "you smoke more now", but it fades after a few days.

i went to med-nic content to see what will happen,and i vaped constantly for a couple of days again.

i think it's working for me. next i'll try low and so on...

maybe you shold get a lower nic content,even if you vape 24/7 the nic content you get would be less. i'm sure you will vape less after a few days. it's worth a try.

I got mine from a local supplier here in Montreal. to be honest, it was my first purchase. i got it on the 28th of Nov. i clean the atomizer every couple of days by dropping it in hot water for 15 mins. dry is well, because she can hold a lot of lquid. the batteries are not the best, so having 3 should do u fine. you might need another charger tho. as for the me, it really has done a 100% replacement from analog! I saw a vid of, i believe a guy called Rusty? anyways, he suggested to cover one of the holes with some scotch tape to getter more vapor... i did that and it works wonders. i have the tape on for my morning dose to get started, then i remove it later for smaller hits. The guy I bought this from told me he tried 6 different kinds before deciding that the M401 is the best mini e-cig. Up to now, I really can’t complain. I just bought a brand new one incase this one fizzles out on me when on holiday. Id like to know ur opinion when u get it because uve been on e-cigs longer than i

It depends what you mean by "how many". How many different types? Or how many complete e-cigs? I have only one type (DSE901), but several atomisers and twice as many batteries.

The M401 is very good! I like it every bit as much as the DSE901. The cartridges are a pain to fill so I really only drip with it. IT's easy to drip, you just have to be patient and let every drop soak into the wire mesh before adding another. 2-4 drops does it. The battery life is a little short, but I don't mind. I found a way to wiggle the battery into one of my DSE901 chargers and hold it in with a piece of tape. So I've got 2 cig types and 3 chargers. I'm set for awhile I think
