How many members now?

I was just thinking this might be a fun thing to do. It seems every day I look at the member count here, it grows....sometimes within minutes. I think it would be fun to see just how many new members are joining every day (or hour, whatever).

So....it is 7AM where I am and the count is 8703 members.

Please feel free to add to this thread when you notice any change.

Well, it's 9:30 AM here Tuesday and now there's 8800! So from when I posted yesterday morning....that's almost 100 new members in a day? (Well, a little over a day....but you get the point)

I hate to give credit to such a crappy product/company but the introduction of SmokingEverywhere in the United States malls has really peaked American interest. It was not really a widely known product here in the States. I've never heard of such a device until a month ago.

Where do you see that number? I see 9,005!
I'm making a prediction now. On Sunday, May 17 we will hit the 10,000 mark.

I wonder how many members there was when I joined back in September of 08. Its hard to believe all the changes from then. There was only a handfull of places to buy from and there was only a few people to get advise from. Now things move so quick I can't keep up with the amount of companys selling the newer e-cigs coming out. Can't wait to see what the future brings. The only down side to all of this is. In the begining we were all here to help and help everyone grow. Not that we don't do that now. But there is a few people I think only make things worse. I look foward to the growth of e-cigs, and what the future brings.

I often think I wish I knew how many we had when I joined in 11/08, just for a comparison...but I don't ever really remember looking then

I guess as close to the past as we'll get is when I made a note of it on March 10 at 11:17 a.m. it was 4,715. So in nearly 2 months it's almost doubled. WOW! So in July we'll have nearly 20K members here? I think at least 80% are just lurkers though.
If you look at the members list there are about 3,900 registered members who have never posted and over 1,700 with 3 or less posts.
