Then something is not right. I was a three pack a day smoker and I have been content with 3 to 5 mls per day for nearly three years now. A pack a day smoker should theoretically be content with 20 mg of nicotine a day delivered (or about 1mg of nic per cigarette smoked). And based on my own e-liquid-strength/consumption-volume pattern, I estimate that a vaper needs to consume about 40 mg of nicotine in order to achieve 20 mg of nicotine delivered. Thus, a rough formula would be:

# of Packs Smoked X 40
----------------------------- = # of mls (per day)
# of mgs per ml e-liquid

Thus, in my case, it was 3 X 40 = 120, and 120 divided by 24mg strength e-liquid = 5mls per day.
Or, in the case of 40mg strength e-liquid, I would only need about 3mls per day (120/40=3).

Yeah I think I got too low a nic level. Started with 8mg, my next order I have upped it to 16.

I vape 16mg

when I started vaping I was running about 1-2 ml a day using eGo-T tanks...

Now I'm using Smok-Tech Dual Coil XLs or CE2s and I shuffle between 2 PVs (1 fruity flavor, 1 not... Apple and Coffee and the moment)...

I'd say I'm going through about 4 ml a day now...

Mainly due to the fact that I now work at a vape-friendly office (or from home... even better!)

I'd probably drop my nic to 12 and be even more of a chain vaper if the 100% VG I vape could wick faster in the CE2s or I didn't have to top off my carts...

I'm almost convinced to go with a REO or a VMod XL, to completely eliminate that whole problem ;)

Maybe I can justify the $$$ to the wife when I hit 1,000 Analogs avoided. :D

I use about 3 -4 ml a day. I'm a field service rep & some days I drive many hours & hardly do any meaningful work! Other days I just drive to one location & stay all day. I keep a PV in the car with lower nic that I can mindlessly vape while driving. I carry in a PV with higher nic when I have limited time to vape. Still at most I'd vape is 5-6 ml. Weekends, I probably vape less, since I'm only dealing with my sweatheart of a wife & not some demanding customer.

Well now, I'm pretty new to all this but to my way of thinking there is no "right" or "not right", because there are simply too many variables involved. Nic strength? Voltage? Atty/carto resistance? Vaper's stress level? and on, and on....

For me it's all about whatever works for the individual. I don't know what's "right", even for myself, except it needs to get and keep me free from smoking. Beyond that, just whatever works is fine.

Just a thought from my cave... Happy Vaping! :vapor:
