I always got a kick out of the people who 'bumed' smokes - I'd ask them if they were just starting a nasty life long habit or why they thought they wanted one. After they told me whatever lame excuse they had I'd tell them that since they are not a smoker, I was not going to give them one and get them started.

When I got the frustrating, shocked and puzzled look back I'd tell them:

"Look, if you were actually addicted to smoking you'd be protecting your supply. See, I have 1 partial pack here along with an extra in my coat pocket and a tube of nicotine losenges. If you looked in my car or desk at work or at home you'd see the same things - at least an extra primary and secondary backup to what I ought to be carrying on me at all times. Real addicts have backup systems..."

Oh - we were discussing vaping.....

While I still use the losenges as a backup, I always leave the house with a fresh charged battery (mah sized for how long I'll be gone) and a full tank of juice. Overnight or trips will include an extra full setup along with extra batteries, charger and 30ml juice bottle. I always have the losenges as a fail safe backup.

    :)

Retired, and if I decide to go out, it's usually for a haircut and juice run. I now have widdled it down to carrying one setup as I know where all my local B&M's are if an "accident" happens....... Going out of town on long trip? My vaping supplies requires it's own suitcase! Ha! :)...... Clothes I can buy anywhere.

If I'm just going to work or out and about, I like to have 2. One Sigelei 150 and a Ipv 150 both topped with an Atlantis v2 charged, full and ready to go.
If it's a day trip, my little box of goodies goes as well. It includes juice, coils, tools, mech mod, RDA, and wipes.
Over nighters include all the above with a battery charger and spare batteries.

Good question... A friend of mine carries 4-6 mods with him wherever he goes. He has to wear a coat in the Summer to carry all his gear.
I carry one mod with an RTA on it, that's it.
Once you find a reliable device and topper you don't have to worry about back-ups.
(Saying that, if i'm off to the bar i'll carry a second device so i can swap flavours because for some reason beer screws with my tastebuds)....

Oh, i don't know if this is relevant but my friend uses Chinese devices and i use a ProVari and Kayfun combo.

Locally, I just have one reliable mod and tank (not glass), an extra battery plus an extra bottle of liquid if it's for the day. As a regular dropper of my mod, I am trying to remember to have an extra drip tip too.

My wife carries a single 18650 mod, a couple juices, clearo ,ego and evod batteries. Those little makeup bags hold a lot of stuff!

I have one Vision Spinner and Nautilus that reside permanently in my bag. For out and around, depending on how long I'll be gone, either an IPV Mini V2 plus Freemax Starre or a Provari and Nautilus, all with fresh batteries and full tanks. If I'm going out for longer, a spare battery too. It's been almost a year since I quit, but I'm still very nervous about being caught without back-up.
I'll be going away for almost two weeks soon, and I haven't decided exactly what I'll be packing, but I'm pretty sure it's going to end up being all the gear I own and most of my juices. Maybe only one of the battery chargers. And I'll be packing that stuff up before I even start to think about clothes or whatever!

Except for 1 PV which I didn't keep long I've never gotten less than a day on an 18650 so just carrying extra batteries isn't an issue for me.

For a full day out I carry 2 pvs ready to go with different flavors just in case the unexpected happens, I run across someone who wants to try it or I just want to change up flavors on the fly. For quick trips, errands or an afternoon/evening out I carry one pv.
