How many of you would find an alert counter auto shutoff feature on the eVic useful?

I recently got the eVic and was thinking that an automatic shutoff based on the alert counter would be a great feature.

What do I mean:
I want to be able to set the eVic alert counter for a set amount of puffs or time. Thereafter I want the device to reset the counter and turn itself off/suspend. Next time the eVic is turned on I would have that same amount of puffs or time, and after exhausting the puffs/time it would again reset and power off. Alternatively the counter could be reset every time the device is turned off either by user of by self.

I my opinion this is a much better solution than displaying an annoying alert message, as it currently does.
Sill, both options can exist.

Personally I find the existing puff countdown or timer countdown timers more than sufficiently annoying to accomplish your task. After all, if they aren't going to stop you as-is all you are going to to with a counter that powers down the eVic is to turn it back on again.

If you really want to press the issue find the eVic page on Joyetech's web site. There is a link on there some place for sending in suggestions for the next firmware upgrade.

I'm not looking for a way for the eVic to protect myself from myself.
This is why I have not suggested any time lock out feature, thought I'm sure some people would find that useful.
Just looking for a better reminder/convenience functionality.

I wish there was a way for advanced users to manipulate the eVic software, all kinds of functionality could be developed, and we would not be talking about this.

Dunno if that would be a good idea. Even Joyetech - who is supposed to know what they are doing - screwed up the last firmware upgrade when they added two more counters - and had to rewrite it to get the bugs introduced out. They added two more counted and the inverted display feature - and also added bugs like the display changing to Centigrade temp no matter how many times you changed it to Fahrenheit.

But they do have this compulsive obsession with counters in that device. You should propose the ideas to Joytech and see if they bite.

You

Or they could program it to do a stun gun pulse. That would give the biggest Pavlovian bang for the buck.

That's all I need - waking up unexpectedly, in a puddle of my own urine. :?: :D

Although I have no use for such a feature, I can see how it could be useful. I'll echo this:
