Sorry for the double post. I hadn't noticed there was more to the thread until after my other post.

I felt really stupid at the time. Stupid and panicked. Thank god there was a local brick and mortar store. The owner even stayed open late just to help me out. Even though I order a lot of stuff online, I still make time to go up there once a month and buy something from them. Go out of your way once for me and you got a customer for life. I guess I should mention the store name. It was Vaporesense. Greg was a life saver.

Vaporescence, I just found out about them recently. I'm so excited to find a local store! Haven't had a chance to go yet (except for a quick drive-by to make sure they were really, really real).

I liked smoking right from the start and, (to my amazement) I liked vaping right from the start, too. Apparently, I just have to have something to puff on.:p

Yup, it seems to be more about the pacifier effect than about the nicotine with me. I need my pacifier! And, don't some of those drip-tips look an awful lot like the nipples on baby bottles?

Someone asked me when I would be ready to quit using the e-cig.

"Quit?" I asked. "Why would I want to do that?" ;)

Exactly!

I'm not really in search of a "sweet spot" though. I often look for juices, attys, and cartos to enjoy. And I often purchase new PVs not so much looking for improvements but often just looking at new features I'd like to try.

These days, I have a little something for any situation. Baskin Robins has nothing on me for number of flavors in have. And I'd bet one or two of the smaller vendors out there would love to have the variety of attys and cartos I keep in stock.

I am a variety vaper. -- That said, I do indeed have a PV and a Juice that I am able to vape all day every day. But even when I spend several days in a row with the same rig, I do find myself craving some other flavor or wanting to use some other device for a while now and again.

I guess I just don't have a sweet spot because I'm always excited to try new devices and new juices.

A variety vaper? That's a good name for it. Let's just say I get bored easily. My daughter has suggested I open a store.

I can't buy just one bottom-feeder. I have to order two with different feeding systems so I can see what makes them tick.

I do have several rigs that are good enough to do the job all by themselves. But, this way is so much more fun and interesting!

Loved it from first "drape" (kudos to rick shockey), even the crappy look alike i started with, although i soon got fed up with the pre-filled cartridges and tiny battery!. A quick google found me a few uk suppliers and ECF and now i`m the proud owner of 3 ego batts, 2xego c top ends, half a dozen dcc`s, assorted juices and mixing gear.
I never touched another analog from that fist drape, and never really had any withdrawl symptoms although i do still catch myself looking around thinking "where the hell have i put my cigs", then i chuckle to myself and reach for my pv.

I did too. And I think I am more of a vapor then I ever was a smoker. I think I was a vapor that was stuck in a smoking world with no idea how to get to the vaping world. If that makes sense.

Not only does that make sense, but you hit the nail on the head, I couldn't agree more!

After 3 weeks I still pat my pockets and look in the place I kept my cigs whenever I leave the house.

I smoked analogs for 40 years and bought a PV from a local B&M with the hope it might help cut down on my smoking, I had no intentions of completely giving it up. I had my last analog the next day, so I guess you could say I really liked it from the start.

Every time I wanted a drape (love it!), I would look around for my cigarettes and look right past my PV. Also, if I'd had a drape recently, I would panic and look around for where I left my lit cig. 37 years is a lot of training to always keep an eye out for fire!

But, once that habit stopped, once I no longer got that panicky feeling, I had less to remind me to drape. Without the reminder of its existence, I can go hours without thinking about it. It really helps when I'm someplace like work where I'm not allowed to. It doesn't bother me to go several hours without, unlike when I used to smoke.

Of course, I do always keep a small PV in my pocket with unflavored. Just knowing I can sneak a drape in the bathroom if it's an emergency takes care of most of the need (whether I actually do it or not).

After about 90 days of exclusive vaping, from 17 yrs of 2+PAD, about a week ago, I woke up sat down at my desk looked around and thought to myself "where the @#$% are my smokes". Then it dawned on me, and I felt like the king of the world! This is the first time I had such an incident.
How nice is it to not have smokes and a lighter surgically attached to ourselves 24/7?:vapor:

Stories like this might be the strongest testimonial for vaping...

People who aren't expecting to quit analogs quit after getting a vape for other reasons.
You won't hear this for any other method.

First one I tried didn't work properly and when it did I hated it, the taste was awful, fast forward a year and I found ECF, I read posts, looked at video reviews and what not and most importantly for me, found I wasn't tied to the horrid tobacco flavours I really didn't like.
Purchased what I call my first proper kit and never looked back, it was love at first vape and the rest of my stinky sticks were given to a guy working in the office below.
I'm glad I found a flavour I liked first off as that sealed the deal for me to switch full time to vaping and since then it has been a wonderful, flavourful and guilt free adventure.

I liked it right away, but it still took me a little over a month to completely stop analogs (but i did immediately drop down from a pack a day to only 4 or 5 smokes a day). When I would buy a pack it was generally right after leaving a stressful day at work. It's now been 11 days since my last one, and I am feeling very confident. I guess it just took me a little bit to really trust that vaping was enough. :)
