I am pretty new to RDAs. I watched about a months worth of YouTube vids on rda builds before trying it. Now every time I finish a build I hear Rip Trippers voice in my head "Sick as T%^*I" lol

So I have done a few simple builds with some success. This morning I did a half way decent nano dragon.... "Sick as T^&*" But no matter the build I usually get about 10-15 puffs before the flavor fades and I can taste a slight burnt taste.

Is this about normal? I usually do about 5 drops per coil, .5-.8 ohms, at 20-22 watts on VW device. I have been using the Walgreens organic cotton. I have some Japanese stuff on the way. The only thing that makes me question the puff count is that it looks like there is still wet wick in the juice well. I also notice that the cotton right near the coil looks a bit gunked. But it is always to just one side of the coil. The side that is close to the barrel.

I use the Tugboat V2 with a dual coil. .5-.8 ohms, 2 out of the 4 air holes open. 20-22 watts. 50/50 juices.

Do you drip juice directly onto your coils? I always try and drip onto the cotton; I feel this helps keep the coils from gunking up and causing a build up on them; creating that burnt flavor... one thing i have done over the years with my rbas is wrap my coils around a thicker drill bits so i can fit a thicker wick; this allowed me to get more hits before i went dry.

I tend to prefer airflow over juice retention, so using the Rite-Aid brand organic cotton I get max 5 pulls per juicing. Tried some rayon last night and it's pretty killer (Sick as T^&*! Haha...). Seriously though you might give rayon a try if you have a local B&M who can slide you a handful. It seems to wick similarly to cotton, but doesn't burn nearly as easily. Few things in life are worse than a cotton dry hit...
