How many recipes do you have that are better before steeping?

This is honestly the first time I've come across this in a LONG time making my own juice, but I think I stumbled upon my first recipe that really degrades as it steeps. "Degrades" is a strong word, but the flavor is best after just a few days and starts to go downhill at the 3-4 week mark.

That it's good to start is not surprising as it's a fruit-only liquid, but I really can't remember the last time I had a recipe do that. Going funky after months, sure, but I can't help but wonder if one ingredient is just a tad too high and it's coming out too heavy after basically completing the steeping process for a juice like this. There are a few notes in there that can lean bitter and that's all that's happening.

Anyway, my question is pretty self-explanatory from the subject: All you DIYers, do you have recipes that you specifically try to use sooner than later? Or do feel that most of your recipes need the steep and only taste better until they're no longer smart to vape (if they even last that long....)?

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
The overwhelming majority of mine taste best after a long steep but i have heard some flavors cancel other flavors out .

Not familiar with which but thats what i heard.

I have also heard by many that too much flavor will kill a recipe after steeping as well so you have a point there .

I think it's only fair to say that i am an atrocious DIY er though , i'm talking really really bad so take what i say with extreme caution.

Yeah, I mean, like I said I've never really had this happen with any other recipe so it's definitely not a usual occurrence. I was just curious if anyone else has recipes that they continue to make on a regular basis that do this.

The recipe in question is complex in terms of how many ingredients are in it, and some are only subtley different. As mentioned, I have a feeling there's either too much flavoring overall or one or two similar notes are a little too heavy. I do really like the juice though so maybe this is just what it does. Hard to say. I'll have to tinker.

Over flavoring usually results in muted flavor right off the bat and not after it steeps. Additives such as to much EM or sweetener or marshmallow, or cotton candy will cause flavor fade over time. it is recommended use no more then a half a percent of those additives. Some very sweet TFA flavors do fade over time if to much is used (sweet flavors based in EM) which is why I went to alternative flavor manufacture flavorings.

Fruit and candy mixes usually don't need to steep. The exeception is if creams, tobaccos, chocolates or flavors known to need steeping are added to these fruits and candy mixes and that's where the problem starts. Many flavors that require steeping may cause the non steeping fruit or candy flavor to fade expecially the ones that have EM as part of the molecular composition.
