With VW it doesn't matter what you set it at... whatever you prefer...

With VV it's a different matter... THAT is when you have to worry about not going over the supported resistance of your atty. As a general rule, your volts should not be more than twice your atty's ohm. So a 3ohm atty shouldn't be set above 6 volts generally.

There really is no agreement on that one. Most people prefer 5-8 watts or so, but there are other variables that need to be considered, like the battery one is using and the type of eliquid. Tobaccos, coffees like more wattage than fruit, for instance.

With top coil heads, it's always a good idea to start low and work your way up. Top coils deliver slightly warmer vapor and they may experience wicking problems. Start at 4.5-5 watts and see how it goes.

3.0Ω at 6v is 12 w. that's a bit much.

Really???? You can pull 12 Watts with a Nova! And it doesn't scorch???? I thought one needed a Zen or some other fancy RBA on a mechanical mod ( or a ProVari ;)) to really enjoy that wattage. Whew!

OK, I'm impressed.

I think you can get a nova to 12w if you stick it in a wall outlet...

ETA: I shouldn't even be posting on this thread. I have two novas, but I don't like them, and I never vape over 8w.
