Nicotine boost

So I have been vaping for 2 weeks now and Istarted off using a generic e cig set up branded Xhale. Not sure if I'm using the right names but it had an ego style battery and a clearomizer. I started off using 24mg nicotine and it was working great. I just got a vamo v3 with a protank and now the nicoti e is kicking my ....! I'm not sure on the voltage on the Xhale but I'm using the vamo at 7.5 watts with a 2.2 ohm head (reads 2.4 on the vamo). Anyone know why this is happening?

That happens, honestly, I had to cut back my nic level when I got a good VV/VW setup, a Vamo as luck would have it. The eGo was only putting out maybe 3.3 or 3.7 volts, while at 7.5w with that head you're getting 4.25v. Switch the Vamo to VV mode and try it at 3.7 or 3.3 volts and see if you have the same effect as using your eGo, if so, you know it's the increased power..in which case I suggest cutting your nic level to 18 or 12mg.

Haha I tried it vv mode right after I posted this and you are right. I think I'm going to buy some 0mg juice and mix it with what I have (fuzion vaper-krankberry 24mg) to get a 12mg outcome. I hope this works cause I like chain vaping and if I try that right now I get a headache and really sleepy. Thanks for the input!

Hi. And welcome!

Be aware if you do it that way it's gonna cut the flavor intensity waaay down. If you want to maintain what sounds like an awesome flavor - can you get that same liquid in as low a nic level as possible instead to do your nic cut down? (If you are lucky they offer a 0 nic option for it even.) Just something to consider.

yea I'll be heading the vape shop tomorrow. I already miss the flavor. I just can't deal with the constant headaches. Plus if I drop the nicotine level I'll be closer to my goal of dropping down 0mg. I probably won't stop vaping though. I think I just found a new hobby.

Yea I dropped it down to 5 watts (3.46v). I'll keep it like that till I get some more juice. Do you know when I should recharge my battery? I have an efest 18350 IMR 3.7v 800mah and a Panasonic CGR18650CH. The efest seems to drop a little around 3.6v. Haven't taken the 18650 down that far yet.

The Vamo will tell you when the batteries need recharging, usually right around 3.2-3.3v, no worries about over-discharge as it won't fire them below that point.

If you just quit smoking/started vaping don't over think the 0 mg goal too soon. Lot of new members zero right in on that. Get yourself over/past the smoking addiction first, ponder the issue of 0 mg vaping when you are ready. (Two years in - still not ready.) My MD has a big problem with smoking, he has no issue with the amount of nic I'm getting from vaping - even with my 24 mg liquids.
