Hi everyone,
so i finally decided to upgrade from my ego style pen setup for a regulated box with an RDA.
Im not a cloud chaser at all, all i want is great flavor and low juice consumption.

i have received my regulated mod (joyetech evic mini with a LG H2 18650 battery, I am still waiting for my RDA which is famous for its flavor production (Kaze RDA)

from what i heard around, the best way to get nice flavor is to have tight diameter coils (micro coils) and good surface area. i also like premium juice but i don't want to go over cigarettes budget i had so i want to have a low juice consumption so i plan on only building single coils at 1~1.2 ohms but twisted to get more surface area.

i have 28aw and 30aw kanthal A1 and i tried to build some coils to test, but i might misunderstand ohms law. to me, the thinner the wire is, the smaller the inner coil diameter is, and the smallest number of wraps increase the ohms right? but while trying to wraps coils i found that less wraps fave me lower ohms... so I'm really confused now...

how many wraps would you advice me for a 2mm diameter micro coil of twisted 28 or twisted 30? also the workspace on the Kaze RDA is pretty small so i think i will have to deal with a very tight micro coil...

i hope you can help me out!

Thank you.

ok so for example i made 2 coils rated at 1ohm, one with twisted 28, one with twisted 30. (just for comparison, not using in dual coil...)
vaping at 20 watts, the 28 would take longer to heat up?

and also with a 1ohm coil, no matter in how many watts i vape it, my battery will be safe anyway right? or is there a limit? again joyetech evic mini, LG HE2 18650 battery

Thank you

28 gauge is thicker wire than 30 gauge.
The 28 gauge 1 ohm coil would be physically bigger than the 30 gauge 1 ohm coil so it would take longer to heat up, yes.

As long as your battery is adequate for the regulated mod you are using you will be fine.

yes there is a limit, that limit is the number of amps draw from the battery when the volts create the watts. Yeah your battery will be safe with 1ohm probably to around 60watts.

Hey Swebass, I'using microcoil pro- try it, I'm sure you'll find android version software if needed.
Below are options for single kanthal coil 28 and 30awg
