It's not the number of wraps that count. It's the total length of wire used to make the coil that determines resistance.

Google the specs on the wire you've been using. You will be able to determine the resistance of any given length of wire from that.

Then cut a smidge more than what you need to account for cutting and trimming and you should be able to nail your target resistance within +/- 0.1 ohms.

How many wraps of 28 ga round or 30ga flat kanthal to get 1.8-2 ohms. I'm trying to do it as nano micro coil . I keep getting .9 - 1.3-4ish .

I'm getting 1.6 - 1.7 ohms resistance with 12 wraps of 28 gauge on a 5/64 drill bit... I would think with 13 or 14 wraps you'd get to where you want to be, give or take a tiny bit of difference in distance from the posts between your set up and mine...
