Funny, my boss asked me the other day how much my setup cost, and he was taken aback by the price. Then I told him that in 30 years of smoking, at $2.50 a pack "average"* price, 1 1/2 packs a day, I've spent over $40,000 on cigarettes with nothing to show for it.

*I know it's not a real average, but I've paid from about $0.40 a pack to around $6 a pack, so $2.50 is a good mid-point cost, I think.

I need a little help. I keep getting asked what I spent on my vaporizer. Seeing as how it was about 280$ altogether, and I am somewhat ashamed of this pricey investment. When people compare my clouds to those produced by the average corner store e-cigarette, the inevitable question always comes up. "How much did you spend on that?" I'm tired of having to answer this question, and I need advice on how to avoid it.

Thanks in advance.

tell them:
"About a month's worth of cigarettes"

One reason I switched to vaping is that it is less offensive than analogs in public spaces. Not to mention smoking is banned on campus, but vaping is still tolerated.

The point is to not let people know how much is invested in it. I might just let the wrong person know how much it's worth.

Then just say
"It's costs 40 bucks from China"
which is probably true but not what you paid for it.

tell them it was only 37.33 packs of cigarettes at 7.50 a pack and one pack a day.

so more or less if you were a pack a day smoker, if you stopped for one month you had saved enough for your mod.

the short answer is, you obviously love ecigs enough to drop that kind of dough, (trust me, i do too), why not have this be something you're proud of?

i'm certainly not the richest person in this hobby, yet my mod's pricetag would make the average vaper cringe. the amount of money i spent in my opinion is something to be proud of, almost a statement of dedication.

you don't have to own a ferrari to be a car guy, but chances are, if you DO own a ferrari, you really, really love cars. or are a rapper. :vapor:
