I have a 510 threaded charger that came with my overpriced and NOT EVEN 510 threaded mall stick batteries. It says "4.2v (unkown electonic symbol) 0.1 A." The one that came with my Riva batts says "4.2v (same hyroglyph) 420 mA. *I'm just wondering what would happen if I tried to used the mall-stick charger on my Riva batt. Since The Riva usually gets .42 Amps and the mall-stick charger only pushes .1 A, my theory is that very little, if anything, will happen.

On the other hand, if I were to screw the mall-stick into the Riva charger, the battery's fuel would likely undergo rapid oxidation, or what we scientist like to call "catchign on fire". But relax, there is not much danger of this happening. The mall sticks have a larger thread, so unless I were to get an adapter in order to conduct this fairly unnecessary experiment in e-cig fault tolerance... Well, the world may never know.

* Actually, I'm also wondering about the meaning of that weird little symbol that looks like a line over three dots.

I have never tried it or seen it happen but from what I understand the 420ma charger can cause failures on the mini batteries. (kill them or send them to a firey grave)

The mini 510 batteries need a 100ma-150ma charger. (.1a-.15a)

I'm pretty sure the symbol you're talking about (a straight line over 3 dots, or rather a dashed line) is the symbol for direct current (DC).

And no, it is not recommended you charge small batteries on the chargers meant for the fat batts as it can damage them.

Thanks for the 411 on the DC symbol. I was really wondering about trying my fat batt on a charger meant for a small batt. I think at worst, it won't do anything because it won't be enough to activate the charge-on circuit , or, at best, it will take five or six hours to charge.

Fat batts on small batt chargers are okay, they can just take longer to charge.

Also, you can use a small bat on a large batt charger if the large batt charger is plugged into a standard 100mA USB port, because at that point it doesn't matter what amperage the charger is capable of delivering, it's still only getting 100mA from the port.

either way,... DC current means don't use the wall adapter. Your wall outlets are Alternating Current, not Direct Current. Maybe it's a warning?
