Most popular foreign brand is Marlboro costs about 0.99 USD per pack

It was about half that when I quit but now they have added what we call a sin tax.

Hi, I'm from Thailand.

Cigarettes here in Thailand are quite cheap. Red Marlboros are ~$3 and if you prefer the cheap brands, Thai brand cigarettes will costs you ~$1.25 per pack!

$5.75 per pack, including tax, here. That's for not the cheapest generic, but not brand-name either.

Which is why I refuse to let myself get into the "oh shiny" mode. Yes, a big part of why I quit smoking was because of health, but another big part was because I could find so many better ways to spend that $250+ per month.

Marlboros (southern cuts or 27s) : $4.75 - $5.00 before tax in gas stations in LA.

Back home, Marlboros (reds or various levels of lights, none of the fancy flavors available) were around 6 euros when I left. Probably more now.
