so took the plunge and ended up with a 510, two days now and had a couple of real ciggaretes each day but still a massive difference from 40 a day.

find sometimes the 510 gives a decent throat hit but some times it dont so seem to constantly be adding an extra drop to top up just to get that throat kick.

what is a standard cartrige equivelent to? (id say about 2-3 cigs unless im overdoseing on it lol)

only had the free 18m bottle that came with kit but just ordered a bigger stronger bottle which im hoping will do the trick

thanks for everyones help, glad i ordered one now, think once i find a liquid i like and get used to using them ill kick the cigs alltogether.

The standard cart that comes with a 510 is pretty small. You should probably order some cartomizers; they hold more liquid, are more reliable, less prone to leaking and offer a more satisfying vape. If you have the small battery type of PV you'll have to steer clear of the low-resistance cartomizers and go with standard-resistance (about 3.0 Ohms).

I use a joye 510. I used the standard carts until I found these clear tank carts. they hold a lot, you can see liquid level and they work for me. they are to be used on a standard 510 atty. I don't like cartomizers, I found them a pain to fill and you still have to top them off. so just another option for you. here are a few vendors:

BreezEsmokes - Premium Electronic Cigarettes

for some annoying reason the site won't let me add more links without messing up so if you are interested, PM me for additional vendors.

I, as I'm sure many here have done in the past, experimented with analog equivalency. My old brand of camel lights were good for about 8-11 strong puffs. I found that In my brief experience with atomizer/ cartridge combo e-cigs, particularly (well, exclusively) Joye and the original Blu, a cartridge would endure about 30-40 solid puffs before burning out. While I haven't had wide experience with carto-s, Greensmoke's new extended life pre-filled cartomizers are good for somewhere in the range of 280-300 strong drags and almost 400 casual puffs. Of course there is a price difference, but overall I feel it is negligible.

The message here I think is that technology is rapidly fleeing from the cart/atty combo, but if done right you're still getting a much better (and healthier) deal.

Most switch to cartomizers. Slim 510 can use 2.5 to 3 ohms and the 3 ohm standard resistance Boges are most popular. they hold 1ml though you do need to keep them damp so they don't singe. cartomizers have limited lives. I can get 10 days use out of a Boge, running through about 20ml of thin clear juice.

I don't recommend Greensmoke - it's the incompatible KR8 model, KR808D-2. If you want a cartomizer model buy a KR808d-1threaded one like V4L, SmokelessImage, Bloogplanet, etc

This is the only kind of "cartridge" to use on those atomizers that came with your kit.
    3564.jpg

    It's called a drip tip.

And yes, I would dearly love to see more 2.5ohm cartomizers, they are a great vape.
(the SD Key Ring comes with 2.5ohm cartos BTW)

A box of 5 cartomizers normally costs around seven bucks

thanks everyone for input heres the kit i got "http://www.juicycigs.co.uk/joye510-electronic-cigarettes/white-joye510.html" unfortunately they dont sell the carts so will maybe look at some of your suggestions along with the clear tanks as mentioned by caggs, think the drip tip may be a bit soon although i like the idea of the carts (one piece less to worry about)

all in all impressed with the concept and the help here :)
