How much is added?

I am still fairly new to the vaping community and would like too know.. If I add the same nicotine mg juice in my carto too what is already in my carto does the nic level increase or decrease? For instance I use chocolate 12mg nic and my carto is low and I top it off with strawberry 12mg nic would it still remain at 12mg nic?

... also if I mix 2.5ML of a 18mg nic juice with 2.5ML of a 6mg nic juice, the 5ML outcome would be how much mg of nic?


I vape 12mg or under and want to know the basic rule of thumb so not to mix something that would go over 12mg of nicotine. I'm not making my own juices but adding a flavor to a flavor or in the case of the 6mg and 18mg mix I had a bottle of 6mg french vanilla and my friend gave me a bottle of 18mg french vanilla so I wanted to cut down the 18mg and read something online that the basic equation is like 18mg+6mg=24 then 24/2=12 ? so is that correct?

Adding 12 to 12 is still 12, if you added the same amount of 18mg say 10ml to 6mg 10ml you sould come up with 12mg.nic level

18 + 6 then divide by two. You'll get 12mg. You can't increase the the % of nic by adding the two together.

The strength of nicotine is mg per ml but maybe it's easier if you see it as a percentage instead of mg/ml. 18mg nicotine is 1.8%, 12mg is 1.2% and 6mg is .6%.

For mixes other than 50/50 of each nic level then multiply the number of ml by the nic level then add the two and divide by the total ml.
Example: To get 10mg/ml nic from 6mg and 18mg: 2ml of 6mg + 1ml of 18mg = 3ml of 10mg : (2*6+1*18)/3
If you want a larger amount just make sure you stay with the correct ratio, in this case 2:1 of 6mg to 18mg.
For 15ml of 10mg liquid: 10ml of 6mg + 5ml of 18mg = (10*6+5*18)/10+5

You can see that adding any quantity of a certain nic level to any quantity of the same level results in the same nic level.
Ex: 5ml of 12mg + 8ml of 12mg =(5*12+8*12)/5+8 = (60+96)/13 = 156/13 = 13ml of 12mg
