Hey all, I have been reading and watching everything I can about these things for a few weeks now. I finally jumped in and ordered the ego-t from cignot. Just came today and have a question about the nic content.

I have smoked marb red 100's for about 20 years. After watching a video of someone who was a similar smoker, he said he tried 36 and it was way too strong, and said 24mg was about right. So when I ordered my kit, and a little extra juice, I also ordered the 24mg thinking it was probably the place to start.

I started using the ego-t today with the 18mg marb tanks that it comes with, and it seems like those are pretty strong for me. I got the instant headache, cough and actually feel a little dizzy at times. So I am guessing, that even the 18mg is too strong for me, and I should step down? So should I add some vg (all my mixes are 100% pg right now) to what I have to tone it down? Is there a calc for doing this? So if I have a 30ml bottle of 24mg strength, how much vg would I add to get to about 15 or 12? how about an 18mg mix (I ordered one bottle of 24, and one of 18)? Thanks,

Brew

If you cut with VG, you will also dilute the flavor. If you can get another bottle of the same flavor in say 11mg and mixed it half and half, you would have 17.5mg.

If you are trying to vape like you smoke, that could be part of the reason you are feeling the way you are, also. It's best to inhale into the mouth and then slowly at first into the lungs. Are you also still smoking some as well as vaping? That can get more nicotine into your system than you are use to. If so, try to space the two activities apart by a half hour or 45 minutes.

wv2win's approach is smart. One thing I would suggest, though, is that you only mix small quantities at this stage instead of blowing your entire bottle of 24mg. (Small bottles and measuring devices--syringes or pipette-- are cheap and useful to own.) What you're experiencing may well be the sort of early vaping reaction that I noticed in the first few weeks at 18mg, but eventually they went away and I found that higher levels worked better for me.

This is kinda typical for alot of people. It probably is not your nic content at this point.
You have to adjust to the PG and or VG which is the carrier liquid for the nic in the
cartridges or juice. DON"T try to inhale like you do a regular cig, for a few days.
Just inhale into the mouth only and blow out. Over the next 24 hours inhale a little
further into the throat area and exhale. By day 3 or sooner, you should be fine. I
coughed and almost choked the first couple of days....but as everyone here said,
it went away.
Drink alot of water, as vaping tends to dry out your mouth and throat more than
regular cigs.
Let us know how it goes....it's just a little bump in the road but things will line
out for you.

I started in the same boat, pack and half of Kools a day, switched to an 808 with 36mg cartos and loved it. I just recently, however, upgraded to a 6V device and the 36mg juice is intense. Not too much for me, just intense. I actually like the 24mg better at 6V, but on the 808, it doesn't seem like it's enough. From what I can gather, nic levels are just as subjective as flavorings.
