Isn't there something where the nic levels don't spike as quickly with vaping as they do with smoking?
Yes, that is absolutely correct, and it is due to a number of factors.

Something about particle size.
Something about absorption in the lungs versus the mouth and throat.
And then there is the fact they spike cigarettes with ammonia to make a nicotine crack effect.

Obviously, I forget the details, but yeah.

Cigarettes kick my ... now that I've been vaping for a while. Not only do they taste like crap, but it is all the other junk in them that gives you a buzz. I still had withdrawals from quitting smokes after 8 years, even though I made a seamless transition to vaping with no break. Must have been all the other crap in them I was addicted to.

If you were not getting enough nicotine you would adjust your vaping. At first I felt the need to vape a lot, now, not so much. I actually think that by getting used to vaping we are cutting back on the dosages we were getting when we smoked.

To answer your question,...it depends on how you vape. It is the same with smoking. How you smoked, made a difference in how much nicotine you got.

I had the same prob when I started, started noticing mostly because I didn't have to go out side to smoke. Would sit around in the afternoon with my better half (none smoker) and watch a movie. I'd just sit and puff for an hour, stand up to pee and go woozy.. Sadly just fell onto the analog wagon again, when i get new fluid back to my PV

The bottom line on "How much nicotine are we vaping??" is that we don't really know. According to some, we're getting zilch: E-cigarettes deliver almost no nicotine..

Just based on what I've heard from people here, I find that impossible to believe. Granted, these are all anecdotal stories of nicotine highs, but collectively they add up to a refutation of Eissenberg (which is a shame, when you think about it; I'd like to believe I'm satisfying my nicotine urges without actually getting any).

In any event, you only have what your own body is telling you to use as a guide. Personally, I started relatively high (24mg); when I felt I had legs under me, I decreased the level as comfort permitted.

I know I am getting quite a bit so i dont believe that. A few tokes on my PV i feel like ive had a cigarette. I can feel it on my gums.. when i used to chew nicotine gum i had the similar "clean" feeling on my gums like something potent was soaking into the blood vessels there. And the slightly citrus aftertaste.

can anyone clear this up? What does the nicotine mg mean on the ejuice?

I vape 18mg. So thats 18mg of nicotine... in what? A bottle? A ml? A carto? What does it mean exactly?

On cigarettes i thought the mg there referred to how much TAR was in the cigarette not the amount of nicotine? Maybe i am wrong there?

It's Xmg per ml.
