How much nicotine do I need?

This is my first week vaping
I have a volt kit and it seems to work well
I have 18mg carto's
I have smoked analogs for 40 years

The volts don't seem to stop my nicotine craving, does this mean they are not strong enough or should I vape more?
Also , if I get a stronger carto would I need to vape less?

I agree. 24mg is generally good for pack a day smokers.

i recomend the vision v2 clearomizer and a 24mg juice. i tryed the 18mg and was geting craveings went to 24mg and poof! no craveings and mmmmm.... tasty varpor.

Everyone's nic needs are different.
My experience seems illogical: I smoked 7-10 Sherman MCDs per day. But I still need 24 mg nic to kill my need for an analog. Go figure.
I'd say you need enough nic to kill the craving but not so much to get a headache & the shakes.

The simplest way is to order the same juice in high nic then mix 'em. That's what I do.

The formula is:

((C1*V1) + (C2 * V2)) / (V1 + V2) = C3(V1 + V2)

C1 - Percent concentration of fluid 1
C2 - Percent concentration of fluid 2
C3 - Desired percent concentration
V1 - Volume of fluid 1
V2 - Volume of fluid 2


However, that's in fluid volumes. So, you have to convert the mg of nic to percent fluid concentration. You need to multiply the mg by 0.101 to convert it to percent by volume.

Good suggestion. I tried 18mg at first and it wasn't enough for me so I've been vaping 24mg since. VaporPro Extreme Ice & NW Vapors Wintergreen have been my favorite 24mg flavors for taste, nico & throat hit so far.

Experiment. WHat I would recommend is get a refillable carto, and two very small e-liquid bottles (4 or so ml). One 18mg nic and one 36, start with JUST the 18 and slowly drop some higher content into there and see if that helps. (hint: it will) And I'm guessing as others it will be around 24mg nic that you'll see the difference.

Another thing is I've noticed a big part of killing the craving is the flavor you get. Yes, you can go with a tobacco flavor but I've found that actually makes me want to smoke! Because it's like a fake tobacco taste, not fun. Get something new, almost exotic. It'll be a new experience for your palate and not remind you of smoking as much, and then you might find you enjoy this new flavor so much you never want a nasty analog compared.

(That flavor for me was EC Blends Dragon's dream, which is a creamy orange flavor.)

How many cigarettes did you smoke per day?
How much juice are you going through per day?

2 cartridges/cartomizers per day of 18mg is very different than 4 per day.
And the needs of a PAD smoker might be very different than the needs of a 2 PAD smoker.

Important distinction. That's why I keep two units on the go. One with 18mg and one 0mg. Cover both bases without adding extra nic or addiction to my body.

24 is great! Just ordered some 18, have yet to try it. It's really nice when vaping with others and trying new flavors and strengths.
