how much nicotine do you put into your body with each drag of an e-cig?

A cart is not a pack. That's standard marketing talk but pretty well refuted.

That's what I thought. Just wondering what the ratio to drop is compared to a cig. I could never get a straight answer on what it was.

these are supposed to last 300 drags...my ... lol

Yeah lol, that's a huge lie. More like 50 tops on a standard size carto lol.

between here and there
the carts im using have 18mg of nic. how much nic is going into my body with each drag? (i take slow 5 sec drags) most of the time.

The ratio is calculated per miligram. so if you consider that one mil is roughly = 20 drops and you put x drops in your cart that should give you an idea.

Hope this helps.

I got this in the backwoods brew newsletter.

Backwoods vaping-Vaping with math

There are approximately 20-25 drops in 1ml.
There are around 5 puffs in one drop, so about 10 puffs per 2 drops. Two drops is the amount most commonly added when dripping, see below.

A typical user vapes around 3ml / day.

So at 3ml per day:

a 10ml bottle lasts about 3 days.
a 20ml bottle lasts about 1 week.
a 30ml bottle lasts about 10 days.

A 24mg juice means 24mg / ml.

1 analog cigarette = approx. 1mg nicotine absorbed.
1ml of 24mg nicotine juice = 24mg nic... but read further......

The mg stated on juice is what is in the liquid. Only about 1/3 of that is absorbed, possibly a good bit lower (some tests have said as low as 10%; but the maximum is probably 40%). Maybe closer to 30%.

A box of 20 cigs gives aboout 20mg nicotine (20 x 1mg).

2ml of 36mg liquid will give about 2 x 36 x 0.33 = about the same : 20mg absorbed.

So 1 box of analog cigs is roughly equivalent to 2ml of 36mg juice or 3ml of 24mg juice.

I went from 1-1.5 PAD to 3-6 mL/day. And I've always taken issue with the "cart=pack" statement as well. IMHO, it's a marketing ploy to justify exorbitant pricing. It MAY be somewhat accurate... if it weren't comparing apples to oranges. But it's not close to being valid because it's comparing what you'd get from smoking to the total amount of nicotine in the fluid... assuming you could somehow absorb every last mg...

I don't really give a crap how much more I apparently vape than I did when I smoked, tbh... As long as my wallet, myself and those around me are healthier... BAM! then I'm a winner, lol...

I wouldn't pay so much attention to the calculation compared of how you feel, somebody here in ECF said pay attention to how you feel, your body will let you know when you have too much nicotine , if you have 4 coffees instead of 2 you will know , same applies to nicotine. by itself it is harmless, get a check up at the doctor now that you quit and see your health improvements.

The only study I've seen (of the Ruyan Ecig) showed that about 50% of the nic in juice is delivered per puff. So 1ml of 18mg nic juice will deliver about 0.9ml of nic. An analog cigarette delivers, on average about 1.5mg of nic per cig.
But it's apples to oranges as vaping doesn't have the other chemicals in a cig which change it's rate of effect and vaping creates smaller particles which changes the way it is absorbed.

The actual amount of nic delivered doesn't matter much. With Ecigs, if you're having nic fits, up your nic content or vape more. If you're getting headaches or other signs of nicotine overdose, use a lower nic or vape less.
