How much to tighten screws down?

Hi everyone,
I'm sorta confused here. This is my situation: on my grand vapor trident, I can't seem to get it right.. If I tighten the screws down a little bit and stop just before the coil starts twisting, get a really weak vape. If I tighten the screws further, get a really harsh burnt hit. Seems there's no middle ground..
how tight are you supposed to screw it down?
Ive tried nudging the coils around, changing air flow,....no luck.
for reference I've tried both 32g round wire as well as .5x.1 ribbon wire, same deal for both. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a crappy rda? It's the first and only rda I've ever had so have nothing to compare it with.
Good new is a have a reo and rm2 on the way so I'm hoping it's just this trident giving me troubles and the rm2 will be better

it will be different when you get the reo and rm2.. cant speak for the other atty you are using. might be a combination of things going wrong with the rba. how many wraps are you using and what ohms are you getting from the ones you are making?

I've tried everything from a 3/2 wrap all the way up to a 10 wrap micro, and probably everything in between haha. Have tried everywhere from .5ohm all the way up to 2 and nothing seems to work..

i'd say its the atty then.. i had one like that once and nothing i did would work.. rm2 will just work.. hang in there

the rm2 is easy to build and just snug down the screws. No need to over tighten. good success. you will love it especially with the reo.. easy peasy. great coils every time.

On my trident I tighten the screws down until they stop, and I wick with cotton. I've never had the problem you described. Sorry I can't be of more help.
