Hi,

I hooked up some simple circuitry to automate (simulate) vaping on a Subtank. I ran it for 72 hours straight with no ill-effects to a non sub-ohm setup. Since I still have it all set up, I thought that I would run the experiment again with a sub ohm setup. Can y'all tell me what a "common" sub ohm setup would be?

I just got several spare insulators in and I'm willing to toast one of them but only one so I'd like to run the experiment correct the first time. That's why I'm asking for a common setup for the test.

The experiment is described in detail in the following thread;

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...into-my-juice-what-should-i-use-make-one.html

it would be easier for me if you posted your response there.

thanks,

I have the Original Subtank Insulator and have not had any issues with it, even running .3 ohm builds. Currently running a .7 ohm 24 ga kanthal micro coil.
I would say build a .5 - .7 ohm coil and run it! I would like to hear the results.

By original, Do you mean the white, clear or brown colored one? Also, what wattage do you usually run at, I'm trying to duplicate the heat production.

So there's one vote for a .5 ohm coil but I still need a "common" voltage. Please see the other thread for more info on the experiment and leave your suggestions there.

I run .4-.5 ohm coils in my Mini at 23.5w
I find that anything over 24w and the tiny juice inlets can't keep up

I think the ST Mini vapes great as is, just understand what its limitations are. I hate Orchid style build decks so a Goblin or Cthulhu is out for me. I have a Lemo 2 coming in the hopes that it has more airflow, wicks, and can handle more power than the ST Mini.
