How much wick is enough?

I have an omega rda and I run it with a .5 ohm dual coil build I was curious to know how much wick I should stuff in the deck. It's a got a very deep reservoir so what I usually do is leave the ends of the cotton rather long after threading the coil and just tuck them all in but I also think I'm wasting a lot of juice that doesn't wick all the way to the coils. Is there a good rule of thumb for that sort of thing?

as long as you're not changing wick frequently then not much juice is wasted.

I pull my wick thru the coil. Snip it at the edges of my deck. pull a little more towards the short side to even it out, and that is usually the perfect amount to tuck under the coil so that the two ends kind of meet without having extra. Cotton doesn't really pull juice toward the coil, so i feel that excess is unnecessary, especially if it's not particularly close to your coils.
