How NEW POSTS works?

Hey, was just wondering how the NEW POSTS option works.

When i post in general....things i post come up under this link

When I post in deeper more specific areas like DIY and such and click NEW POSTS my tread doesn't come up...is this normal?

I dont want to only post in General...but it seems the only time i get any answers....any words of wisdom?

Yeah, I usually don't use that option. What I do is go to my user profile page. Under your avatar or screen name. There's a few options below. Click on "Find all posts" and "Find all threads started".

That will automatically show your latest posts and threads. I find that this is a lot more convenient in many ways.

Click on "whats new" in the upper left of the homepage,then click"my posts",Viola!

under new posts if you were the last one to post under a thread it does not show but if you go to what's new and today posts you are going to see it there

Cool... I was looking for a better way to browse everyone's info this sounds useful.
