New Posts vs Today's Posts

I generally navigate the site by clicking Today's Posts under What's New. I just now happened to click on New Posts, and the threads were not all the same. Can anyone explain the difference.

It's possible that replies are being posted quickly enough to explain why they aren't the same, but I don't think that's the answer.

New posts is everything everywhere... (except the outside I believe)

Todays posts...is just the general ecig forums (not including the suppliers forums or classifieds which are in the other tabs)
