How often do you replace your cotton and coil?

Hit that gotta change the wick spot last night. Normally was getting 3 good hits per squonk and last night after 1.5 it was tasting bad. And the 1.5 weren't even good ones. Just wasn't performing right. Dry-burn...re-wick... Back in business.

As an aside. Gotta find something else to build on. Used a marinating needle last time and got a nice 1.4 ohm coil which is working nice. But the coil size is much smaller then normally and it's a bit of a pain to re-wick. My 2 other wrapping devices(a screwdriver and a drill bit) are 1.5-1.6 but the coil size is great.

I recoiled my Grand on Sunday. Monday at work it was acting up. Then I noticed a orange glow inside the airhole. Popped the cap and saw no wick at all!

I had used a thin wick. It moved really easy side to side. Cotton of course!

Guess I burned it up, but then saw it on the other side of the ceramic.

Must have squonked it out of the coil!!!

New wick fed through and no problems!
