Ever since I've started vaping, I've always had my Twist in hand whenever I could. My mentality is to keep vaping so that I don't ever feel a crave. I know many greenhorns like myself worry about overdoing it and many veterans have always responded saying that it's much better than what we used to inhale into our precious lungs. I agree. However, I got to wondering how most of you all vape enough to keep the cravings away or prefer to lay off the vape until a crave comes rumbling through and start to vape then?

By the by, over a week into this, and I'm so excited about the fact that I haven't craved an analog! Thanks again ECF!

Being fairly new at this too, I tend to have my eGoT at hand all the time, however, I still haven't quit the stinkies yet. I had set a date to lay them to rest, on my B-day at the end of Sept. We have the month of Oct. off for fall break and I figured that would be a good time to quit as I would be surrounded by non-smokers at home. I have cut down considerably - about half what I used to smoke (1 PAD) and with vaping on top of that I'm really hacking up a lot of gunk. But I read that's normal, even if you don't vape while quitting. Your body is getting rid of all that junk and starting it's way back to normal.

Today is an exception to this rule; I was in a hurry to leave work yesterday and left one of my bats hooked up to the charger! Had to go back to using my ProSmoke small. :glare:
Hope the place is still and not burned out in the morning.... SCHOOL'S.... OUT.... EARLY!!!  SCHOOL'S.... OUT.... FOR.... EVER!!!

This sums it up for me. The good part is I can go an hour or 2 without my PV and have no cravings. When I smoked analogs, as soon as I got in somewhere I couldn't smoke, I was waiting for a chance to go smoke.

Yes! I totally get this. Honestly, every time I saw a no smoking sign, it made me want one even if I wasn't craving.

I was a sporadic smoker. When I bought a pack, I'd smoke it in a few days. Then I wouldn't smoke again for months. I really adore nicotine but the rest of the downsides to smoking kept me from doing it very often. The gum tastes nasty and just doesn't seem to cut it. Plus I really enjoyed the act of smoking.

I've just started. So far I've vaped before work and a bit after. I haven't bothered during my work day.

One of the things I really love about vaping is that it actually fits my consumption style better than a cigarette. I generally didn't want to smoke whole cigarettes. I just wanted a few puffs but they taste nasty when you re-light them. One of the nice thing about a vaporizer is I can take a few hits and then set it down. I don't tend to vape for several minutes straight. I vape the way I might sip a drink.

I've only been at this a couple days. Started with disposables, just to try some companies and their shipping. With the disposables I still craved a cig. Got my starter kit yesterday. Been using it just like a cig (I smoked just under a pack a day). When I get a craving I take a few puffs. I'm using 24mg and that seems to be pretty strong. At first I found myself sucking on that thing for like 20-30 min straight before I realized it and got a headache and a little nauseous. Now when I get the craving I take like 3-4 puffs and that seems to do the trick. So not only am I smoke free for 48 hours, I'm also not vaping too much either... So far lol...

Ooooh, I vapes more than I ever smoked (and I smoked a PAD), but that's for a few reasons:
- it ain't cigarettes and I know that I'm not killing myself with carcinogens (though who knows if vaping will make me grow a 3rd arm... I'll take my chances)
- it just tastes REALLY good and I've actually lost weight because I'd rather vape strawberry shortcake than eat it (well, not quite)
- I can vape where I can't smoke: in my office, at work, in the car ...

I've lowered by nic down to 6mg so that I can chain vape without feeling nic'ed out. But there are days I just don't vale much at all. Kind of the nice thing about it. Couldn't fathom. I having a smoke when I did smoke.

I know exactly how you feel, sometimes when I'm working on the com, writing or developing smt, I'll light up a cig, take a couple drags, put it down and go back to work. When I come back a few min later, it's burnt down the filter. With the e-cig you can put it down, work for a while an when you come back it kicks right in for ya. :thumb:
