Got my BC V2 on 1/30/13, so not quite a month. Just got my SS V2 yesterday. The BC is my main, got the SS for a backup.

What can I say? Love using my Vamo, vapes great. Currently using 1.7 ohm single coil cartos in a DCT Pro Tank (polypropylene tube), vaping between 6.0 - 8.0 watts depending on the juice I have in the tank. Plumes of vapor, and really brings out the taste in the juices I have used so far.

I got mine 1/26 so it's just about to turn a month old next Tuesday. I got it as a backup device, so of course it became a secondary device instead. I finally forced myself to put it away and I'm using my Spinners.
I'm not as happy with the Spinner as the VAMO, but I'm not in a position to buy another VAMO for normal use right now.
My only objection is the size with 18650 batteries in it. A 350 battery would be smaller, but provide a lot less vape time.

thanks for the input and stats. I got mine today. I've yet to put it to real work yet but will soon. So far I'm happy with it. First thing I checked was the overall build and top connector. All very good and solid top connector. I will be sure not to crank anything down tight on it. I also checked to make sure the battery cap screws on to both tube ends for threading and no issues except for one metal bur that was sharply sticking out. I wiggled the bur off and rechecked cap threading. no problem but i do now have a sharp edge near the threading where I worked the bur off. I will pick up some fine sandpaper or emery cloth and lightly take the sharp edge down as well as use it lightly on all threading incase there are more. Afterwards I'll find some type of grease like white lithium grease used for auto door locks and apply a thin coat and work the end cap on both tube sections. I have read of some using vaseline for this also. any suggestions on prepping these threads for a hopefully long future of use ?

I've had my vamo since January of this year. I treat it horribly, drop it all the time and have worn the finish off. It still hits like a champ. I'm kind of considering doing a video on aging with the Vamo, cause I think that's important too. Good thread.
I hope this one will last a while and wish boards and tubes/buttons were available but i guess at the price point for these it's not a big deal to just buy another if needed. If I had parts for it I may get more creative lol.

My chrome VAMO v2 on arrived on Dec. 15 and the stainless V2 on Dec. 26. The chrome had the wimpy spring that allowed 18650 disconnects and the stainless had the spring with the unsafe resistance. I replaced both springs with copper hot springs the first day I had them and have had zero problems with either VAMO since. That said, I'm not hard on my PVs.
My jaw still remains on the floor when considering the features and reliability for the price. I've definitely raised the bar for what I expect in a $100+ VW PV.

I don't have the exact date I got mine, V2, but I took some pics on Dec 1 so its nearly 3 months old. Just this week the chrome showed wear under the fire button - just a very small bit where the tubes join. I've ordered a jwrap for it - I had planned to do that anyway.
To answer the OP's questions - its been my main pv since I got it and I've used it heavily. Its taken everything I've thrown at it including an incredibly unstable RBA I put on it a couple of days ago after I fiddled with a perfectly good coil on the AGA-T+ and turned it into a nightmare. I've taken it to work in 18350 mode and used it at home a lot with an 18650. I have two but one doesn't get used much since the first one is doing so well.

I agree Peraspera. Some people look at the price tag on the Vamo and assume it mustn't be good because of that. They have no idea what a great deal these are.
Mine is 45 days old now, its the black chrome version that came with ....y spring. I dont use only the Vamo, cus i like switching devices, but i would say that about 50% of the time the Vamo is in use. The black chrome is wearing off alot now, but the device itself is performing great.
As i said to a friend a few days ago, for me the Vamo would be a great buy if it lasts 3 monts, so we are half way there

I also agree. Some people just can't put their snobbery aside (just once).
I took receipt of my Vamo on 12/20/12. I love it. It has its quirks, I've dropped it a lot but I found that fixes problems as easy as it creates them (don't ask
), still it works Brilliantly and I think it should score highly in the eCig Best Buys chart. (does such a chart exist yet?)

If that fixes wonky RBA coils on the AGA-T+ I do want to know.

Mine is 3 days old, and I'm still using the short battery, haven't used it as much as I'd like. That does not mean there is something wrong with it, there isn't. Getting used to the weight of it in my hand, purse, and if all else fails, I have a weapon to use.
I am using my spinner as well mostly at work and vamo at home. This weekend will tell me how long the short battery lasts give or take. And I'm eying something else besides a t2 for it, but not in a hurry.

some great replies. It's nice to see a timeline on these and compare notes to one another. Other then some finish / coating wearing off on some models depending on amount of use mostly I would guess that these mods will work like a timex. I believe that the amount and type of impact they receive by their owner will be the main reason they go wonky. Like all electronic devices shock and impact will eventually cause cold solder joints and pcb board cracks but hey, how's that the vamo's fault In short I think that if the user is rough with the mod (or any electronic device actually) the best option probably for this type of user is something purely mechanical. Take care of it like you would a cell phone or laptop and it will keep going and going and going..

I've had my SS v2 since 3rd Jan and is my main pv, don't think I've used any of my others since receipt of it. Haven't had any major problems with it yet, and it's fallen out of my pocket several times due to my job. A few war wounds so far, but it's all part of the character. Looking at getting a mechanical mod soon, although I think that will be the back up to the VAMO.
ive had mine a month now... I use it every night after work 4-6 hours straight, and all weekend when I am home so its getting some substantial use...I have had 0 problems at all. Mine is a chrome V2.

My new (v2, v3, whatever it is) gunmetal/black chrome is a few days old. I have a V1 that's about 3 months old, but am keeping it as a backup due to the - button not working right and random power offs. Plus in the new one, I can use my flat top 18650s that I couldn't use with my v1. It's the only one I use, and I use it daily. I gave my twist to my fiancee as she likes to pretend like she's going something with her coworkers when they go outside to smoke.
