How people say they had to cut down to 3-6mg nic?

I went from 36mg down to 24 and then to 12mg in sub tanks on Ti and Ni TC and its such a waste of juice its insane. I even tried 70/30 VG/PG and not a harsh vape at all. I am now using 18mg and still i go through much more than i did with good ole Kanger Pro tank 2's and my Itaste 2.0. 120Mil of 36mg easily lasted a couple of months, now its a month or less and i vape all day long.

Im jumping back up to 24 Nic 90% VG on my recent order. Maybe that will do the trick.

I know weird right?

I love my 18 mg. nicotine juice and I love vaping the same way I smoked, MTL. I would like to reduce my nic to about 12 mg. so there's a wider variety of juices available to me, but I'm not ready for that yet. I am still too dependent on the throat hit aspect of vaping. There's a new B & M near me that provides Vapor Shark sub-ohm gear for use in their shop, so that's how I'll try it out. If I love it, I may consider buying one, but I am very partial to old school style vaping that does not guzzle juice.

No *not* weird!!!it took me almost two years to come off the nic, then after six months of no nic picked up some 6nic,then went back to none,it varies for EVERYONE, you will come off the nic when you are ready, just take your time and do it gradually,in your own unique way,and I know all about the juice thing, you have to vape what you can afford to vape.don't beat yourself up, you will do it when you are ready :) when I switched on to the whole sub ohm world, I went through13 plus 15 ml bottles of 6 nic for 6months....then I got ahold of it.but ya know to each their own :)

Everyones different , it amazes me people vape 0 and 3 mg nicotine even with sub ohm tanks . I started at 24 mg , tried 36 mg down to 18 mg and now staying at 12 mg . I am not obsessed with lowering my nicotine , i enjoy a minor buzz and i don't think i would vape at all if i hit zero nic.

I couldn't take 18mg liquid after changed to sub-ohm tanks and temp control. I got way to much nic. It made me feel like I'd smoked 3/4 of a pack of cigs in one setting. I was jumpy, jumpy, jumpy. I didn't shorten the amount of time I vaped, but I could cut the amount of nic I vaped by cutting the nic mgs. Shortening the time would have made vaping very unsatisfying. I used the same amount of liquid whether it was 6mg or 18mg with the more powerful setup.

If juice consumption is your main concern, why not change back to a higher ohm single coil, lower wattage tank ?

i usually smoke 0mg nic...maybe 3mg nic on menth cuz it gives it a bit more kick....highest i've tried was 6nic which felt much weaker than the 3mg menth nic though...but not going to lie...anything higher than that i think is for hardcore previous smokers 20+nic is crazy...idk how you can handle that throat hit...maybe cuz i'm doing .1 sub ohm build..

Not weird. It's more economical to vape above 1ohm with higher nicotine juice than it is to sub ohm with lower nicotine. Plus you get longer battery life. I vape 36mg at 1.2ohms.

Used to smoke two packs a day (Pall Mall) but quit last December & started vaping with 18 mg. Then got into sub-ohming & got down to 6. Three weeks ago I went to 3 mg. Today I whipped up two batches of juice at 2 mg. Once I can get to zero I will still vape. I like the hobby of making juices & all the flavors too much.

I used to try to push my nic lower, with mixed results, but what I've found lately is that my body lets me know if I can drop my nic. I'll start getting mild over nic symptoms, and sure enough, I can usually drop down okay at that point.

Then, it's just a question of whether or not to do it, because usage tends to go up at least intially. I'm at that point currently, but plan to stand pat for now. Maybe just vape less at the same nic level this time around. I don't particularly want to increase juice consumption. I'll drop down when I can do it without doing that.

I got a Free Sample of some Zero Nicotine which at first I said F this! So I mixed some with another flavor at 3MG and to my surprise the original flavor still shined through making me interested in trying it on it own and I did. Vaped 2ML of it yesterday afternoon and did not miss the Nicotine at all. Yes I did go back to my 3MG DIY but surprisingly was able to vape ZERO!

I've been happily vaping 12 nic for ages now, since I swapped my protanks for kayfuns a couple years ago and realized 18 was too much for kayfuns. Now with kanger subtank I can build .5ohm with 12 nic and no problems. I have just learned not to inhale every vape so I haven't had a nic buzz in long time. I am slowly DIY'n some of my juices at 9 but am in no hurry to cut down my nic, especially at work where the nic keeps me sane.

Strange how people tolerance to nic is so different person to person. I was a hard core Newport (non menthol) Marlboro black smoker (end of my smoking career lol) pack+ a day for about 20 years exactly a year ago this month. I started at 24mg and 18mg I'm now at 3mg. It just kept becoming way to harsh for me to cape and I'd have to drop down a level.

I have quite a few 6mg nic and I have to cut it with vg or pg to cape it the nic is way to harsh for me lol.

Even 3MG some days depending on the juice brand is slowly becoming a bit much thinking of dropping to 1.5mg from whatever juice vendors I buy from make it.

I did try 0 nic quite a few times and Im not a fan I think I'll always need a touch of nic in it to give it that bite.

I was at 2mg but got massive draw-back symptoms when I wasn't vaping for an afternoon or so. I just went down to 1mg, lol

It's just a matter of lowering your tolerance though. But you have to want it and stick with it for a while before it becomes easy or it probably won't happen.
