Been vaping for a month now and it was all good till recently.
I have been smoking at most 1 or 2 smokes a day and that usually when I have my morning coffee...Some days I just don't smoke at all.

Well I ran out of juice because of this: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConf...?tRef=qt&tLc=1&tLabels=9400111899560760198044

So on Monday I went to a B&M store for some liquid and just bought their brand of tobacco juice. Hating it and I found myself smoking 4 cigs yesterday and 6 so far today.

I seriously need my juice or I just can't drop smoking yet...

I have a longer way to go than I thought.

My last cigarette was April of 2011.

I decided I was tired of spending $20 plus gas every 2 days on cigarettes, bought a disposable and haven't looked back since.

Of course, everyone is different, and there were no B&M's around here back then, so supplies were strictly online purchases once I decided vaping would work for me. At the time the nearest B&M to me was approx. an hour drive away.

Now there are 3 in my small town, and 2 in the next town over, but none of them have decent juice. My first attempt at DIY is better than any local B&M juice I have tried. I still buy all of my supplies (other than cotton yarn) online.

I will say though, the USPS seems to have really gotten sloppy in the last year.

Certus,

Did vaping help you smoke less than you would have?

Will vaping help you smoke less than you would have in the future?

It's all good. Sorry you ran dry, that sucks. But put in a little stock of stuff you like, and at least availability won't be what causes you to smoke more. I still smoke occasionally, but at least it's not for lack of juice!

Best of luck!

Yeah.. the USPS has had problems with their down-sizing and such... I'm lucky so far and have not yet had any issues.

But for the running out of juice....
Honestly... try some non-tobacco flavors. you can go to mtbakervapor.com and get blu-bacco for a very well liked blueberry tobacco flavor, but also try some other ones. sort by highest rated and you will like at least half of them. and for many, they have the flavorings for their juices so you can DIY your own as well.. Its a great backup for when you run out and don't get delivered in time.

I started DIY my 3rd week vaping because I saw how much I was using and was afraid that I would forget to buy in time. :)

It's hard! The e cig worked for me, but there was tons of stuff I tried that didn't. You've cut back and had days without cigarettes, and that is good :) Hopefully you get your e liquid situation going better. I know how frustrating that can be. Hang in there and try not to be too hard on yourself.

For me, after 45+ years 1.5-2 PAD my choice was solid.
First, I did not Quit Smoking - I Finished Smoking and started Vaping instead. Not an Alternative, a Second chance at life.

I've always been competitive and quitting anything just never set right in my mind. :D

Very real. I didn't really set out to "quit" per se, but instead intended to see how much of my 2 PAD habit I could replace with vaping. The first day it was 90%. The second 95%. The third and fourth, 97.5%, and I haven't had a cigarette in the 35 days since. I still have some unopened packs around, but just about zero temptation to open one. Now I'm rarely around other smokers, so this past weekend was a good test for me. I spent both days taking a class at an outdoor range and there were a number of smokers there, including the instructor. I also I found an unopened pack in my range bag. It remained unopened.

Thus far, my PV is doing WONDERS in changing my habits. BUT, old habits die hard. I find myself craving the worst in the morning when I wake up, and I almost always cave and have one with my morning coffee. Other than that, I usually don't have any. While I would love to completely quit, I realize it will take time and dedication. I will take 1 cigarette a day over my regular PaD, ANYDAY. It is doing wonders for my health. I will completely quit eventually, but that morning craving is just too much right now.

It can be tough to quit analogs, especially if you don't have the juice that you like. Bad juice can make vaping unbearable. The best thing to do is to fine one or more B&M's that have at least a couple flavors that you like. That way, if they are out of one, they will have another that you like or at least have a different B&M that you like. You can also use the nic patch as well. that was the only way that I could get off of analogs. Just beware that if you do the patch and vape, you can get a hell of a buzz if you vape too much.

Back in 2009 I started vaping, but ended up going back to analogs because there were no B&M's around. The only way you could get your stuff was by buying things on someones website. It can be a royal PITA to rely on ordering from a website and waiting, waiting, waiting and sometimes waiting for your stuff. Oh ya, did I mention waiting for your stuff? I ended up getting frustrated and I went back to analogs. Now that there are multiple B&M's in just about every city around here, I have no problem at all finding what I need to stay of the analogs.

Much better. The smoker's cough that I had essentially forever dissipated within a few days. I did have a bit of a dry cough one night. I was mildly constipated for while the 2nd week. Other than that, no negative side effects, but a number of positive ones.

If you had told me 2 months ago that I'd be off cigs for more than a month now, and that I would do so without once being miserable, I'd have told you that you were crazy.

I hated a lot about smoking: The smell, the dirty ashtrays, the burn marks on things, the fact that I had exposed my young son to 2nd hand smoke, my closet smoking, the fact that I couldn't hike without feeling as though my lungs were on fire. I really could go on and on with all that I hated about it. Most of all, I hate NEEDING it.

The day I received my vaping set up, I just KNEW I found my way out of cigarettes. I tossed every ashtray in my house. I binge ordered a ton of flavors and back up batteries/clearomizers.

My sense of taste and smell started to come back. My home has lost it's cigarette smell. I go hiking and don't feel like I need life support. I have not gained an ounce of weight and I feel better about my entire self over all.

And.....I've worked my way down from 12mg juices to 6mg juices

Yes, I've spent a ton of money these past few weeks on vaping...but so what? I'll settle in with my setup and flavors eventually..or not. But either way....I'm not smoking, my hair still smells like the shampoo I washed it with from 10 hours ago and I am really proud of myself for getting rid/off of the hundreds of vile things that go along with smoking.

Isn't it great? One month can be a huge difference, it only gets better!

I have my brother visiting with his 3 young kidlets in March. Last time they came to town, I was out of breath in minutes running after them at the Disney Family Museum. I hope to keep up a little more this time!

Bonehead, I was smoking 25 cigs a day. I used a cheap starter kit for the first 5 days and reduced my smoking to 5 to 10 a day. I then bought a protank-II and got my dekang 555 and that is when it was real good. I immediately drop to 0, 1 or 2 smokes a day. Mostly 0.

Till yesterday and today cuz I don't have my juice.

I do intent to vape on and get some 48mg juice for the morning coffee....hehe...I'm vaping 24 now. 2 ml or less a day
