"insurance company don't know. If - by any means- they want to check your claim, they may want to see your blood/saliva analisis, and they will find nicotine in it. Nicotine for them = smoking. Claim denied, you are in a hole"

buy some Nicorette NOW.
When (IF) your claim is ever denied, appeal it and include a copy of the receipt.

Good idea :)

Cheating?
Why cheating is acceptable when we are talking about vaping?
Ridiculous.

It would seem to me that a vaper answering a simplified question of "do you smoke" by responding "no", would be very difficult to interpret as falsifying an application and denying a claim. I would expect at most requiring additional premium payments back to the point the original determination was made. The insurance company may very well try to deny a large claim, but can't see that standing based on the question asked. Unfortunately, many will probably be put in the position of defending their actions.

Keep in mind, some insurance companies view folks using nicotine replacement therapies like the gum and patches still consider you a smoker. They want total abstinence of nicotine for up to a year before they will consider you a non smoker...do your homework and find out the devil in the details if you want to avoid getting screwed if you wind up in a bind from some major medical event. Don't blindly take information given on a vaping forum to determine your financial life choices in legal insurance stuff, even what I have just posted. You alone are responsible for knowing the details of whatever deal you have with your insurance company, and the consequences could be huge if things ever went south for you. Good luck.

My company will be charging $100/month for nicotine usage next year.
That includes patches and gums and vaping and any other usage.

That's up from the $50/month that they charged this year.
I quit using nicotine in January because of it.

I fully intend to go back to nicotine when I retire and get my own health insurance.
I just hope I won't have to pay for the privilege.
