Now that I have successfully transferred Mom over to the Triton battery and tanks, my life has become easier. Usually one filled tank will last her the day.
I have an emergency mini tank filled and ready to go should I need it.
I've been cleaning the coil each week and alternating the Halo coil every week with a Kanger coil that I also clean at the end of the week. So far I have two weeks on each coil and after cleaning the wicks in the coils look brand new. So it appears that I will get significant life out of the coils.

Regarding the Triton tanks......do they go bad or just wear out?
All I do each week is rinse with hot water, dry it out and swap to a coil that was cleaned the week before.
The consumable part, the coil, seems to be the only part that wears out and perhaps the drip tip over time.
Am I correct or should I expect to change out an tank occasionally?

I don't know. I've had about 7 tanks for 15 months without problems. Yea, I broke a couple of the tips, but other than that, they are tough. Tips are a buck at Halo.

I remember someone tightening the coil too hard and managed to break the center post loose. It's just a very tight press fit. It was then leaking. A few reports of them leaking from bad bottom joints, but if yours are good for a week, they should last more than a year.

With a good supply of coils (from that other place, shhhhh), plus your diy juice, you should be set.

Aww, your sig banner is gone. It must be close to 4 months now. I'm so glad Mom is liking the Triton and the button. I knew she'd get the hang of it.

:)

(added) And since you run one flavor, no problems. Some other flavors can be really hard to get out of a tank, but not your worry.

I have lost a couple of those tanks along the way, thanks to a number of drops onto hard surfaces. In one case I used a strawberry liquid which fogged the plastic. Aside from my continued rough handling, they hold up very well!

Should you eventually have a tank develop cloudiness or cracks, it is handy to remove the remaining plastic and keep the base and center post as a platform for dry burning coils in the future.

I started out with half a dozen tanks just over a year ago. The only ones that died were a couple of the colored ones - they developed leaks around the seal at the bottom. But the others have been going strong!

I think you may have to redo the banner - check in your settings and see if it's still there :)
The Banner. You might have too much other type and the banner won't fit. Try removing some words and reducing the size of the type.

As of today, your Mom is at (or near) 107 days.

So congrats for making it to a HUNNERD!!!!

You go, Mom!!!!

The tanks last well. I have had 3 die in a year, 2 totally my fault, and the other, lasted me for 6 months, till it develepoed a small leak at the base.

I would buy a couple of spare tips though, those die a lot more frequently than the tanks. Just good to have a couple of tank tips spare, just add it on to your next order of juice. (plus 1 spare tank, if you dont have one).

It is impressive how much life Halo has gotten out of what is essentially a Kanger T2. {2 year old technology} But the design is hard to fault as these little tanks are extremely dependable. Very little to go wrong here. I never leave the house without one. Going on two years on my Tritons. All batts and tanks still going strong.

I only wish that Halo would "up their game" and release a mid-size system that is stronger than Triton but smaller than 18650 devices. Wishful thinking. :vapor:
