Make sure there's no sealer cap on either end, sometimes they have what is known around here as a condom on one end to keep it fresh?? Make sure you read the literature that came with it, look to see if the cartomizer is sealed.....must be unsealed to use.
If it's 'cracking' you have good battery connection, just not sure what else to say, except to take nice, looooong, gentle puffs. Not short hard ones~your atty doesn't heat fully for best vapor production.
BEST of LUCK~Welcome

I have a new cartridge, and am having the same problem today. Last night, I was able to use it and get a hit like a real cigarette. Today, it's down to me getting a little bit again. :( I'm not sure what is going on. I charged it all night.

I have not had a real cig for 3 days now!
How long are you expecting a cartomizer to last before you have to refill it or put on a new one?
And how long would you say you've been using the one you're using?

You're quite sure the units are firmly screwed together....so if your carts are not sealed, perhaps you just are not giving it enough time to heat....no short puffing, nice looooooooonnnnnnnnggg puffs, gently, not hard.
Hard puffs will just pull too much liquid from the cart to the atty, and it floods. You have any gurgling sounds it means there's too much liquid in the atomizer.
If so, remove the atomizer, blow hard through the thread end, mop up excess juice, and reattach.
You have the right atomizer for the right battery?
See if you can get an email to the supplier and get some help, if you haven't already.

DC2: I used 1 cartrige yesterday and it ran out this afternoon. I'm also not sure, when it runs out does it just stop giving vapor? Sorry to sound like an idiot but I want to be sure i'm doing all this correctly.
I'm not an expert on cartomizers, but I think it may very well be empty.
Hopefully someone else will come along who knows more about them than I do.

The best thing to remember is just puff hard enough to turn the light on, and keep gently puffing until it goes out....Best Vapor production that way.
Also, it takes some time to get the hang on when they go dry, unfortunately, if they go dry and you keep puffing you also run the risk of burning the cartomizer coil. It may be forever ruined, it will taste awful (burned) or just fail to heat again (broken coil). You would not be able to re-fill it. I take it you have not yet considered re-filling with your own juice.
But also pre-filled cartomizers cannot hold a whole lot of juice, so will empty fast. Way faster than the claim "equals one and a half" packs of cigarettes, that's just not true. I could use one up in an hour. Which I DID do, when I got my first NPro. I did everything wrong, so don't feel bad!!

Yes, or the flavor starts to taste 'burnt', or the cartomizer gets extremely hot in your lips.

To answer your other question, for me a cartomizer is about the same as half a pack of cigarettes.

It sounds like either the 3 air holes aren't supplying enough air OR your cartomizers are bad ones. Sometimes they are right out of the package. Also, other models have 4 holes for an easier draw.

BTW, cartomizers from vendors on this site usually run $0.90-2.05 each. Read up on refilling yours, which can run $0.16-0.50 each.
